The job wasn't easy, even less with the expectations of how would a female journalist do in F1, but you only had to follow one rule above all: don't date any driver.
But him? He was worth breaking all the rules in the world.
I knew it wasn't an easy feat, that not everything would work out just as a I thought. After all, with Formula 1, you can never expect things to be perfect.
But him? He was. Oh, he really was.
From the beigining I had expectations: from my boss, my mother, the world, and even myself. I knew I only had one chance at succeeding, that I had to make it perfect, that I couldn't fuck it up.
Not this time.
And I really thought I wouldn't. That I was prepared. But I wasn't. After all, there is nothing certain in F1: you never know who will be the first to cross the line.
