Their next shift was a whole new experience for Anastasia

Their next shift was a whole new experience for Anastasia.  While she has worked all over the country with the BAU and has been a firefighter for years, not once has she ever had to chase down a hot air balloon and basically tackle it to get it back on the ground. Weirdly enough, especially for a work day in LA, the station wasn't really busy, but the good thing about it was that Anastasia was able to take a nap after the team lunch Bobby had cooked.

"I knew it!" Buck cheered from the top of the stairs, gaining the attention from the team while he ran down the stairs, phone in hand as he ran into the locker room area that had beds. "I knew you looked familiar!"

"Can I finish my nap first, B?" Anastasia groaned, folding her pillow in half to cover her ear as she turned ro lay on her side. "I'm in a food coma."

"Oh sure, don't let me interrupt, Phoenix." Releasing her pillow, Anastasia let it fall from her ear to look over her shoulder at the smirking firefighter. "I've been trying to figure where I knew you from since the day you walked in here, and I finally did it because I had free time for once."

"I thought that was just a Virginia thing?"

"With the way you ran into a burning building and saved a group of girls while making an arrest all those years ago? You've been national for years. Do you know your fan pages are looking for you?" Buck asked, Instagram still opened on his phone as he took a seat on the end of her cot. "Not that I follow any or anything."

Anastasia blinked, trying to get the sleep out of her eyes, but before she could respond, the bell in the station went off and everyone had to rush to their gear. Within less than two minutes, the trucks were all driving out and heading to their destination with the sirens blaring. The ride was only about 10 minutes, but that whole time, Buck was informing the whole team about how Anastasia got famous while being a profiler for being a hero and "drop dead gorgeous", and how it followed her to Miami where her entire job revolved around running into burning buildings, the first thing that made her blow up. However, the only reason that case got so much attention was because of how it was unsolved for years, and the BAU were the one to close it.

"Wait, are we really going to ignore how he just called her drop dead gorgeous?"

The group stayed quiet for a few moments, Hen and Chim listening in through their headsets in their ambulance before Buck just scoffed. "We have work to do, Jesus Eddie." The firetruck parked a moment later, but Buck was already out and preparing to observe the situation to approach it right, ignoring the quiet, yet teasing, laughs that were behind him.

The power was still on, so there was a lot of electricity running through the car, which also meant that there wasn't really anything the team could do yet.  Not until the city shut the power off.  All they could do really was use the fire extinguisher on the hood of the truck to put out the very small fire before it blew up.  "Do you think she realizes how many felonies she committed in 5 minutes?"  Anastasia asked from between Buck and Eddie.  From carjacking, to kidnapping and now causing a city-wide black out with said carjacking and kidnapping, Anastasia could only imagine the hell she was going to be put through, reasonably so.

With the power now officially down, the team was able to actually touch the truck to take the woman out and over the the ambulance, but the second her door was opened, a crash happened at the intersection a few hundred feet down the street.  "Seriously?"

"We're on it, Cap!"  With Eddie having a good enough grip on the woman to lead her single-handedly over to the ambulance, Buck and Anastasia took off running to the two cars caught in the collision.  "I have a feeling this is gonna be a long shift."  Buck said as they approached the two cars.

"You think?  Power outages suck in general, an unexpected one is probably already causing problems across the city."  Anastasia stated before the two split up to check on the people in the cars.

Like she had predicted, there were a lot of calls that came after the crash that caused the blackout, including one with a man locked inside of a freezer because the lock was powered by electricity. When the team finally got inside, the man had just fallen asleep, so they were working as fast as they could to get him out and warm him up to prevent any deadly case of hypothermia. There was only one thermal blanket on hand, but until he was put into the ambulance, he was surrounded by their jackets which were almost like a big weighted blanket.

"Officer needs assistance. 727L30 at Studio Self Storage. All units switch to Tac 50, officer on open mic in distress." The dispatcher, Maddie Buckley, repeated. Anastasia, being new, didn't understand who officer 727L30 was, but judging by the fact that everyone's faces dropped and changed to distress and panic, they were close to the team.

The whole ride to the storage, it was as if every siren in a reasonable distance was on, and Bobby was keeping the radio set to the open mic channel. At first, Anastasia wasn't fazed too by it, but after hearing the gunshot, she ripped her headset off so all she heard was the blaring siren and looked out the window. As much as she loved the BAU, it wasn't exactly filled with butterflies and rainbows, so the sounds over the headset were a sort of trigger to the things she would prefer to never relive.

The rest of the drive wasn't long, given that the streets were cleared by the police cars in front of them, so Anastasia only had to sit in silence.  However, since she was sitting directly across from Buck, he noticed when she ripped her headset off and turned to look outside the window. He even nudged her foot with his own, but she didn't budge because she thought he did it on accident with how the truck was being driven. Upon pulling up to the storage building, Bobby practically jumped out while the truck was still moving and the rest of the team followed, running after him after he grabbed an axe and disregarded the officers saying it wasn't cleared yet.

With the amount of squad cars that pulled up, it was only a matter of minutes before officer 727L30, who Anastasia found out was Bobby's wife, was found. Walking onto the floor she was on, which was thankfully the second, the team walked by a man handcuffed to some pipes, easily assumed to be the perp. Hen and Chimney quickly went to look her over, and everyone stood back watching, giving them room to work and taking in the situation.

As Anastasia looked around, she made eye contact with the man on the floor before tilting her head with her brows furrowed. "Didn't I arrest you once?"
