"Master Cancer Volet, my... my lord... We failed he... he wasn't at Western Polly."
Volet's sharp gaze snapped to the speaker, his expression darkening. "What... you... you... such idiots! Losers! Why didn't I order to feed you all to my little Draco for his dinner meal?"
The henchman flinched at the harshness in his voice, scrambling to explain. "Please, forgive us! We did our best, but it seems they are protecting him. Otherwise, we would have found him by now. He has no idea who he is. We all humbly serve our great master. Especially I."
Volet's eyes narrowed as he assessed the man's loyalty, recognizing the desperation behind his words. "Morel, come here, my dear. I like your thoughts. I have some words to share with you."
As the two spoke in hushed tones, the other henchmen stood in the weapons room, their unease palpable. The air was thick with tension and the smell of iron. The flickering torches cast shadows that danced ominously on the walls, heightening their anxiety.
Moments later, Harry re-entered the weapon room, wiping the sweat from his brow. The tension shifted as he looked around, sensing the unease. "Buddies, we have only one chance to bring him to the master. If we fail, it will be the end of our lives." His voice was steady but edged with urgency.
"Morel," Volet commanded, his voice cutting through the murmurs. "I want him, and I want him soon."
"Okay, my lord," Morel replied, bowing slightly, his heart racing at the thought of facing the task ahead.
Cancer Volet was a man who appeared younger than his years, but his perpetual anger etched lines of weariness across his face. His fury had become a mask, making him look more aged than he was. As the chief of all darkness, he had gone beyond the limits of ambition, committing unspeakable acts of betrayal against his own kingdom. Once the proud king of Zegan Tegona, the most formidable semi-kingdom within the realm of Alexas, Volet had once held great power. But that was before King Benjamin Alexander stripped him of his throne and banished him to the desolate island of Voyage.
Years passed, and in the solitude of his exile, Volet's hunger for vengeance festered. With each day, his desire to reclaim his lost power grew stronger, burning like an unquenchable flame. After five years of living incognito among humans, he had built a kingdom of shadows, a new base of power from which to launch his revenge against those who had wronged him. However, he knew that without the strength to match King Alexander and his allies, his dreams of retribution would remain just that—dreams.
Volet had heard whispers of a boy named Sebastian Terod, a child linked to his destiny in ways he could not yet comprehend. The boy held a secret, a potential that could either grant Volet the power he sought or doom him forever. With Harry and his loyal members scouring the land to locate Sebastian, Volet felt a thrill of anticipation. Each passing moment tightened the noose of his ambition. He would not rest until the boy was found, for he believed that the key to his resurgence lay in the heart of that boy. He would not allow failure again. Not this time.
