"Nighteye, I think the Hassaikai may target me and try to take me somewhere." I said.

"What makes you think that?" Nighteye asked.

"Chisaki has a bad temper. Anyone who gets in his way, he wants to punish. Chances are he's sent someone to retrieve me now. So... why not let me get taken." I said.

Everyone in the conference room, who was everyone on the Eri rescue team minus the children, was shocked. "Let you get taken?" Aizawa asked.

I nodded. "There's a special thing I can do with shadows, I learned to do it as a kid. If I can picture a room's exact location, I can manipulate the shadows within that room. It doesn't matter how far I am, so I can tell you where I am and whether or not Eri's with me, like this."

I gathered all of the shadows at the front of the room and made them form the word, "See?"

"What if you can't get out? What if you're in the wrong place? What if they give you the quirk erasing drug? What if they kill you?" Aizawa asked frantically.

"I've escaped from them before, it'll be easy for me to do it again, but I'll only do that if I don't find Eri. If I do find her, I'll stay with her. That poor girl deserves to have someone by her side. Whether or not they give me the drug... they likely won't use a permanent one, if they have them developed already they'd want to save it for something else. Also, Chisaki won't kill me... at least... not permanently. I'll be fine, I promise. Just... don't tell the students, I don't want them to worry."

I received a lot of worried looks, but Nighteye said, "I would normally be against something like this... but since they're after you anyway, I think it's a good idea."

"One thing... Why didn't you use this technique when you were captured by the League?" Rock Lock asked.

"This technique requires a lot of focus, and while I was captured all of my focus was on keeping Bakugou safe." I explained.

"Alright, dismissed." Nighteye said.

I walked away after the conference, ignoring the concerned looks my coworker was giving me. I looked over and saw my students staring at me, confused. I walked over to them and said, "I've got something I need to do, so you're not going to see me until after we save Eri, not even in school. Don't worry, I'll be fine, just an assignment I need to do."

None of them seemed to be comforted by this answer, but I gave them a reassuring smile before walking away. Aizawa stepped up and squeezed my shoulder, "Be careful out there kid, I don't want to lose you."

I smiled and said, "Don't worry, I'll be fine."

"I know, but what you said in there wasn't comforting," Aizawa admitted.

I smiled again and said, "He won't kill me. I'll be back before you know it."

He gave me another worried look as I walked away. I made my way outside and immediately noticed that I was being followed. "Here we go." I muttered to myself as I walked into a back alleyway.

Ow. Chrono really didn't hold back on me, that shit hurt.

I'm now incredibly slow, but it's allowing me to focus completely on the message. I pictured Nighteye's office and gathered the shadows, forming the words, "I've been taken. Currently in the back of a truck, I'll update you when we arrive at the location."

I left the message there for about 15 minutes, making sure he'd see it. Then, the truck stopped and Chrono picked me up and took me inside the main base. I focused on the shadows again and wrote, "Main base."

Chrono took me underground and set me down in some sort of examination chair. I took control of the shadows and said, "Examination room, likely I'll be here for a while before they move me."

I felt the quirk wear off and I could move properly again. I smirked and shouted, "Chisaki you coward! Get out here and fight me like a man!"

"You are so annoying, you know that right?" Chisaki said as he stepped into the room.

I rolled my eyes and asked, "So what do you want to do to me?"

"Well, I thought that you should be punished for turning on the Hassaikai, so we're going to be torturing you." Chisaki said as he picked up a scalpel.

I gulped and said, "Are you still mad about that? I ran away almost 10 years ago, you need to learn how to let that shit go."

Chisaki chuckled, "This is going to be fun."

Time skip

Ow... Again... Chisaki had been shaving my skin off with a knife and peeling my nails off for about a day straight now. I felt myself start losing consciousness and Chisaki laughed, "Are you already out of energy? Wow. Well I guess it's time for a reset."

My entire body froze with fear as Chisaki took off his glove and lowered his hand to my face. The second his hand made contact, every single atom within my body screamed in pain as they were torn apart piece by piece. Then... everything stitched itself back together within the next second. The memory of the pain still prevalent in my mind as Chisaki had Chrono carry me out of the room and set me down in another room. I was frozen in place, unable to take in any information, but then I heard a small, "Hello?"

I was snapped out of my funk and scanned the room. My eyes laid on Eri and I gasped. "Eri?"

I scrambled over to her and examined her. I sighed when I realized she was okay... well as okay as she could be, I gave her a small hug. "We're going to get you out of here, okay? Within the next few days, we'll be out."

She nodded and slowly laid on the bed the two of us were sitting on and I lay down next to her. I pictured Nighteye's office once again and had the shadows say, "I found Eri, she's in the basement of the main base."

Nighteye's POV

"Kage, what's taking so long?" I asked myself, pacing around the room.

Then, a message appeared in the front of my office. "I found Eri, she's in the basement of the main base."

I sighed and said, "Thank you Kage."

The other pros that happened to also be in the room were Aizawa, Rock Lock, and Bubble Girl. Aizawa almost collapsed from relief that Kage was alright. "Alright everyone, extraction begins tomorrow, I'll send a message to the work study students and we'll-"

"Wait," Rock Lock interrupted, "How do we know that Kage wasn't forced to say that? How do we know that Kage is certain that they're in the main base? They might be in a completely different location and not even know it."

"Are you saying that their sacrifice was worthless?!" Aizawa shouted.

"No, Rock Lock's got a point. We need to double check and confirm that their information is correct. It never hurts to be sure." I reasoned.

"How do you suppose we do that?" Aizawa asked.

"We scout out the known Hassaikai facilities and see if there's any trace of the drugs, Eri, or Kage," I said.

"Fine. I'll inform the students that Kage is alright, they've been pretty worried about them." Aizawa said.

"I thought Kage said not to tell them?" Rock Lock said.

"I didn't, but they're just worried since they've been gone for the past few days." Aizawa said as he walked away.
