A few hours after relaxing on the couch watching outside of the window, Kaori got up and looked around for something else to do.
A small meow came from the outside of the window. A small little cute stray cat sat there, looking impatient and hungry.
It was the silver gray cat Kaori called Mizuki. The cat purred quite loudly as Kaori opened the window and picked her up. She smiled at the cat and thought, "she must be hungry." Mizuki reached up with her pale pink nose and bumped Kaori's nose.
The cats blue eyes looked so bright and hopeful it was hard for Kaori to not give this cute thing food.
She sat Mizuki down and hurried over to the small fridge. It was empty but in one of the bottom shelves of the fridge was some fresh cat foods. Kaori picked it up, opened it, and sat it down in front of Mizuki.
The cat instantly glopped a bunch in her mouth and swallowed. Kaori closed the fridge door and smiled at her.
"What a cute cat" she thought. Kaori crouched down towards the cat. Mizuki looked up licking her lips.
"Let's get you set up" Kaori thought as she walked over to the couch. Mizuki followed her with a small meow. She sat the cat on the indented couch softly and sat next to her.
It was great to have some company.
Most the of morning fog had cleared up, but rain still drizzled from the misty clouds above. Mizuki now had laid down on her belly and watched the city before her eyes. Kaori felt as these days were her favorite to watch the city pass by with Mizuki.

The next day Kaori woke up on the couch. She must have fallen asleep after supper.
Mizuki was gone so Kaori guess she probably already returned outside once again.
"She'll be back next week" Kaori thought with a small smile.
The morning fog wasn't there. For once it was a calm sunny day. Kaori didn't always like sunny days. It reminded her how lonely she was sometimes.
She shook the thought out of her head and sat up, blinking rapidly. The rays of sunlight beamed through Kaori's windows and warmed her up immediately.
"Yes! Today is the cafe pickup" Kaori thought excitedly.
She jumped up and hurried over to where she usually sits her keys, pouch, and sweatshirt if it's raining. Kaori rapped the pouch to hang at her left side hip and grabbed her apartment keys.
Kaori exited the door to the apartment and made her way down the city. It was very busy and chaotic this morning, but she was basically used to it.
Kaori's keys that hug from her pouch jingled softly by her side.
A sweet coffee scent came from inside a cafe a few blocks away. It smelled like a wonderful pumpkin spice latte with a hint of extra caramel cream. Kaori quickly hurried over to the cafe now that she know for a fact it was open. When she got there she noticed the sign that said at the front of the door: "SweetMeows! Open till 11:00pm today! Make sure to visit our sweet cafe!"
Kaori entered the door. It made a bell jingle as she closed the door.
A waiter at the front looked up immediately as Kaori walked inside. The inside had pale white walls with neat pink paint creating a kawaii chibi cat. The place still had the wonderful sweet pumpkin spice smell as well.
"Oh, Kaori! Welcome back. How have you been lately" the lady asked sweetly. Kaori smiled back at her and put a quick thumbs up. The lady nodded and went back to what she was doing.
The lady's name was Aoi. She loved Kaori and was basically like a friend to her. She was always at the front desk of SweetMeows. The only times she wasn't, was on weekends. But today was Wednesday so she's still here until it closes.
Kaori wrote down in her notebook: "May I have my usually?" And showed it to Aoi. The waiter looked at her and nodded with the same sweet smile.
