"You're fucking art."

he says, his breath fanning my face. Finding myself unable to breathe because of it. The world felt like it was spinning around us when he began to lean in.

Only to place a gentle kiss on my cheek. "Now come on, let's not forget everyone's downstairs right now waiting on us. Wouldn't want them to suspect anything." He says as he begins walking toward the stairs. My body felt like it was unable to move as if the hardwood flooring was now a mountain of quicksand and I was in the pit of it.

"You coming darling?" he sneers to me from the top of the staircase.

"Yeah" I clear my throat, suddenly finding the strength to move my legs toward the man and follow him down the staircase.

"You know they already think we fucked." I giggle to Mitchel as we walk towards the kitchen. "Oh, do they now? Who could've put that thought into their heads?" He chuckles along with me.

"Actually you did. You know, when you came upstairs unexpectedly while I was changing." I say matter of factly as we enter the kitchen earning a few howls from the group. "Christian, lighter." I shout over to him before tossing my lighter his way which he catches perfectly.

"Thank you 'Deya but you took so long that I just used Leila's" he responds while tossing me back my lighter.

"Sorry about that, I was waiting for this one to get out of the bathroom." I laugh softly as I give Mitchel a playful shove in which he returns.

Conversations carried on as we all sat in the kitchen drinking, smoking, and listening to music that I later found out was playing from my phone because Asterin connected it to the speakers while I was upstairs.

The vibe felt perfect and I felt like I was finally at peace once again. That is until my phone began to ring as the group was about to take another round of shots, this cutting the music off and causing the ringing to play through the speakers. Picking my phone up to see it was an unmarked number but giving me a pretty good idea on who it was.

Decline.

"Sorry about that guys" I apologize as the music begins playing again, only to get cut off once more by the unmarked ID calling me again.

"I should probably take this" my voice rattles as I give a look to Asterin and Leila and they both slightly shake their heads from side to side.

Ignoring them, I walk out of the kitchen going through the slider onto the patio. My heart already beating against my chest and the aching in my head doubles as I click the green button.

Accept.

"Kasdeya?" The almost familiar voice questions through the speaker made me feel sick.

"I know it's you." His tone now harsh and aggressive making his voice a lot more familiar. I felt my heart in my throat, a lump so large I couldn't swallow it and I just sat in silence not able to find the power to speak. The world around me fading away as my vision darkens making me lose balance and fall back into the railing to hold my weight up. The darkness soon fading away when his voice booms through the phone again. "Answer me, damn it!"
