Kat's dreams weren't on her list of favorite things. She had expected death, since she was shot twice and passed out. It would have made sense. But it felt like she was asleep, and she really hoped she was. However, she didn't expect the dreams.

She was standing on top of a steep hill, looking down on a valley. There was a river, trees, animals, and in the middle was a small town. She couldn't hear the people, but she could barely see things moving around in the villiage, carrying on their day. It was such a peaceful view.

But then a dark cloud passed over it, and every single bit of light faded away. Bits of red lightning started shooting out of the cloud and started hitting the town, setting the buildings on fire.

Kat started to run down, knowing that she had to help somehow, but reddish blackish swirls of rope-like air held her back. Then, a huge gust of dusty wind blew over the town, and everything started breaking apart and flying away. She wanted to look away, but she couldn't. The black cloud started to have a red glow as it grew bigger. It started to cover the whole town, as if it just swallowed civilization.

Watching the town's death, Kat felt like crying. All those innocent people... gone. She tried to look away, but she couldn't. The tendrils holding her started to increase. Soon they started melting with each other, turning black, and she was in some kind of cocoon.

Kat was in the dark again, but this time, the walls started closing in on her. She started to panic. In a minute she would be crushed, so she had to get out.

She started to kick and punch the walls, but they wouldn't budge. The walls started to push her chest against her knees, when everything faded away, and she woke up.

Instantly Kat felt uncomfortable. Then, she tried to focus, and realized she was laying face first on wood. She got up, and was shocked at where she was.

She was in a wooden house. It was much bigger than hers, and certainly much better. To Katherine's right was a bed, which she had probably fell out of. In front of her to the left was a table with three seats. Directly in front of the was a door. In the far right corner was a chest, she guessed, and some kind of gray block. It looked like it had a mouth, with fire in it. A furnace.

For once, Katherine didn't feel any pain when she thought of that. Probably because she was already feeling so horrible. Her arm and leg were bandaged, somehow, and she felt a faint throbbing in her head.

She sat on the bed, but immediately got up. Where was she? This place seemed harmless, but who found her? Who saved her? She felt excited that someone was in this world, but this wasn't the way she wanted them to meet her. On the run from monsters and having an arrow in her leg was not a good first impression.

She walked toward the door, afraid of what waited for her. Kat took a deep breath, and opened it.

The sunlight shined on her, so Kat thought she was just hallucinating for a second. But in front of her was a village. There were smaller houses that were like hers, but the biggest ones were like the one she was in, about 10 blocks long and 6 blocks wide. There was some kind of well, and plowed lands with crops growing. A cobblestone tower was the tallest building.

But then there were the villagers. They had a light brown skin, and had brown robes on. They had a big forehead, but the weirdest thing was their nose. It was huge, about 4 times the regular nose, and it hung in front of their mouth. With a creepy feeling, Kat realized she didn't even have a nose.
