A lot of people hate Hans and I get why. I'm not excusing what he did, because killing people is wrong and tricking people into thinking you love them is also wrong but there is always a reason why people do bad things.
King Albert is Queen Allowyn's husband, as well as, the father of thirteen sons. One of those sons being Hans. At the young age of 5, Albert had been crowned king but he truly became one at the age of 18. King Albert admits that he does love some of his sons more than the rest. His favourite sons are Caleb, Alberto, Helmut and Rechtaid. The sons that he favours the least are Lars, Jurgen and Hans, though he was sometimes known to be sympathetic to Hans, like when he helped Hans escape prison. His parents are Queen Eloise of the Southern Isles and King Hubert of the Southern Isles. His brother is King Diego of the Southern Isles.
While having a conversation with Queen Elsa, King Albert said, "I'm afraid I'm partly responsible for the things that happened to you, your sister and cousin, Queen Elsa." Hinting to us that Elsa and Anna are in fact Rapunzel's cousins and that it is kind of his fault that Hans, Rudi and Runo are evil. King Albert is described as "a wise king but a horrible father to all his sons".
