"Shrek....my love, you smell lovely." said Y/N with a loving voice.
"Ah darling, it's my new cologne. Specially made from onions and swamp water," Shrek replied back to his one and only love in his life. It was no question that these two loved each other, till the fact that they would sacrifice themselves for each other. Sometimes, it seemed like the world would never end, and yet problems always piled up keeping them away from one another.
"Y/N, sometimes I wish the world would never end..." the ogre said rather sadly. It sounded- strange. Nothing like what Shrek would usually say.
Was anything wrong? Y/N thought.
"Shrek, is everything okay? I'm worried.". Ah. Y/N noticed, they know me too well. Shrek thought. Shrek, who didn't want to tell Y/N about what was happening, attempted to change the conversation.
"Oh darling! I can't help but notice it's past midnight! Let's head back home." Shrek said with a sweet smile.
"Huh? Isn't it only 8 pm though?" said Y/N. They were confused, it was normal to stay up with Shrek for at least till 10 pm out on a Saturday night.
"Man, we should really start sleeping early...I MEAN BRO-" Shrek purposely said to an angry Y/N.
"MF DON'T BRO ME!"
Suddenly, something started to rustle in the bushes behind them. They both look behind to find an onion rolling out of the bush. What? Y/N thought. Shrek kept his chunky green finger on his lips to tell Y/N to be quiet. Quickly understanding, they kept their mouth shut.
A GUNSHOT RAN BY THE SIDE OF THEM.
Y/N screamed.
"N/N RUN! IT'S NOT SAFE HERE." Shrek yelled at them.
"B...-But what about you?!"
"I'll be fine, just trust me okay?"
He wasn't supposed to come here this early! That- Donkey! I'm sorry Y/N, I think I might not be able to come out alive...
A donkey came out of the bushes and aimed at Shrek's heart and then he shot his gun.
"HAHAHAHA!" Donkey cackled.
"H..uh...Shre..-k?" Y/N ran over to Shrek, kneeling down to hold his hand.
"Darling...I'm sorry.."
His heartbeat stopped, Y/N felt it the moment his pulse dropped.
Then they cried and cried until there weren't any tears left to cry.
