TIME had passed without fear of being stopped nor rewound. The universe wasn't going to stop and turn back for one day just because everything turned out exactly how it wasn't supposed to for Jeon Jungkook. No, time would go on like it always had, never stopping for anyone. If there was one thing he had expected to return, it was to his boyfriend's warm kisses. But no. No matter how much it hurt to be received by an empty home, time would never stop and rewind for him. It wasn't normal to be in his current position, crouched down on the couch inside his house with his head in between his left hand and right hand holding his phone to his ear. Frustrated tears—he'd usually never shed—ran down his cheeks. It was a disaster. Everything turned out wrong. There were broken plates everywhere; two couch pillows—red and gray—were stuffed open on the floor, and their cotton was all over the place; the apple-cinnamon scented candle was broken on the living room table, but most importantly, the Christmas Tree he had decorated with the love of his life laid on the floor with now-broken ornaments. How had this happened? Jungkook did not know. He had an idea, but as to how exactly things had gone down, he was clueless.
The Christmas cheer he usually had was gone and filled with an emptiness. Why had he let things go too far? How had he never seen it coming?
"What do you want, Jungkook-hyung?" answered a boy.
"Jagiya, where are you? Where's Bam? What happened to our living room?" Jungkook sighed, sniffling and then glancing at the mess in his house.
Where were they? What exactly had happened? Why was his boyfriend giving him the cold shoulder based on the tone of the voice? How come he came home to a literal mess of broken plates and Christmas ornaments on the floor of their living room? What exactly had he done to return to this? Most importantly, why were his boyfriend and their precious dog not there? Where was Bam's kennel?
Hurt because of the tone his boyfriend used on him, he glanced at the picture framed up on the pale-gray wall near the TV console. It was of them, hugging and smiling with their Doberman dog, Bam. His boyfriend was inside his arms while Bam was looking up at his boyfriend with heart eyes. They were all smitten with each other. Specifically Bam, always looking at his boyfriend with an unspoken love and admiration despite their different species. The picture had been taken especially for an occasion. It was taken the first day his boyfriend began university classes, which was an accomplishment given all the past troubles and painful endured experiences.
After receiving silence as a reply, he questioned, "Why aren't you saying anything back?"
How could Jungkook not react the way he was? Out of all the emotions he felt, concern and worry were at the top of his heart.
His boyfriend scoffed. "Bam is with me. Why do you want to know where we are?"
"What do you mean 'why do I want to know!' I just arrived from a fourteen-hour flight, and our living room is completely trashed! It looks as if a tornado passed through here! And you're not even here with Bam! Come back home, please," Jungkook begged, now eyeing the two black suitcases beside him with his patience thinning every second.
