Maybe Chip was just a little to sleep deprived, but he swears he can hear footsteps and rocking from the upper part of the ship. He knows it's still night time, and probably at one hell of an ungodly hour, so who would be up at this time?

After staring into the ceiling for a good twenty or so minutes, he finally decides do stand up, taking easy and careful steps along the way up, he didn't want to grab any attention in case it was an intruder. He peeks his head up, hoping to not cause any noise, to his surprise, it was no intruder. He was met with a blue skinned man, his long luscious hair flowing softly, syncing with the wind, as his fingertips tap lightly on the edge of the ship. His eyes seemed a little tired, and his face looked tense, yet in a soft way. Chip was practically fighting the gay gods for a while, convincing himself he was straight ever since he met Gillian, yet here is one of the moments where he cant seem to fight it.

Chip sat there for a bit, admiring Gillian's chiseled features, looking like they where literally sculpted by gods, while the dim moonlight sits on his face. God, what a man, Chip knew he was straight, but sometimes Gillian made him feel otherwise, but he'd just deny it all happened later.

"Chip?" The boy snapped out of his super 'straight' thoughts and looks at Gill, he felt a small blush creep onto his face. "O-oh! Uhh.. Gill! Hey buddy.." He stands up, walking awkwardly to Gillian. "What where you doing?"

"..Nothing, just.. observing the..sky." Chip tried to stop lying all together with Gillian, but cmon, this was important. Gillian nodded, and offered Chip to join him, that Chip gladly accepted. They both stared off into the ocean, talking of course, but occasionally keeping a long, yet comfortable silence while the two watched the ocean.

" What are you even doing up this late?" The brown haired boy asked, resting his elbows on the deck. "Just thinking." Gillian's usual happy, confident and oblivious tone seem to have faded, he seemed cold, looking down into the crystalline waters of the ocean. " Gill? You okay dude?"

"I.. am fine, again, im just thinking." He gave a weak smile to Chip. "What are you doing up this late?" Gillian ponders. "Well, I've been having a rough time sleeping recently, but I'm fine i guess, I just sleep in the afternoon." Gillian hummed in response.

There late night talk (lol title) continued, each conversation getting deeper and deeper, until eventually the sun rose, making the sky a beautiful pink and orange color.   " Beautiful is it not?" Gillian asked, to which Chip simply nodded.
