Chapter 2: A New Friend

---Dipper's POV---

So it's been 2 days since we arrived in Gravity Falls and things have been pretty normal... I mean, what in this city is considered normal obviously. Mabel and I decided to go for a walk in the city to see if there's anything new, which there wasn't aside from new buildings for people to live on, like a hotel, and some buildings weren't finished. I guess the people working on said building just gave up on their jobs, either that or the weirdness of the city drove them mad and they started to act crazy and-
"DIPPER!!!!! EARTH TO DIPPIN' DOTS ARE YOU HEARING ME?" My thoughts were interruped by my sister who was trying to get my attention. "Oh my- Mabel how long have you been shouting like that-" She placed her finger on my lips to shush me. "That does not matter right now, Because I think WE SHOULD GO TO THE SCHOOL!!" she started to jump around me. I sighed "Fine, but why you wanna go there anyway? It's June 27th, do you really think there's gonna be people in there?" I asked. Obviously she ignored my question and started to run towards the school, and I ran after her. As we got closer we started to slow down and walk towards the entrance of the building. As we walked to the halls we got started at for some reason?? And to be honest, it kinda scared me. They looked like they wanted to beat me up! The bell rang and those kids went to their classroom. Hold up- THEY'RE 8TH GRADERS?? SINCE WHEN 14 YEAR OLD KIDS ARE SUPPOST LOOK THAT MEAN?? I shook my head to get back to reality and the next thing I see is Mabel trying to get gummy bears out of the vending machine by sticking her whole arm through the small opening on the bottom of the machine. "Hey Dip-Dop can you help me?" I sighed, and put some coins in and waited for the gummy bears to fall, once they did, I looked at Mabel. "There you go. Now let's go, Grunkle Stan needs help in the shack.". Mabel nodded and tried to move...but- "I think my arm is stuck" "Are you serious Mabel?" She tried to get her arm out, but it wasnt working. I saw the faces she was doing while trying to get her arm out, and I swear, Im a good brother, but I just started to laugh. "DIPPER THIS ISNT TIME TO LAUGH OKAY??" She shouted, I wiped a tear away, I laughed so hard my stomach was hurting already. "Alright alright I'll help you." I got down to her level and tried to put the tiny door of the machine all the way up, but it was also stuck. We both tried very hard to not make any loud noises. I was getting fustrated until a familiar voice caught my attention. "Hey Guys, need help?" It was Wendy. Now, Wendy was my crush 5 years ago, but I got over her...kinda. Mabel looked up at her. " Can you help me? My arm's stuck!" Wendy nodded. She got closer to the machine, and just gave it a very strong kick, making the tiny door go all the way up and releasing Mabel's arm. She got up and hugged the other girl. "Thank you!! I thought I was going to spend my whole life stuck in that dangerous trap." "Honestly it was not sweat. A lot of people already tried the same thing and had the same fate as you" Wendy explained. I got closer to the girls and stood next to Mabel. "So Wendy, what are you doing here? Aren't you in Summer vacation yet?" I asked, trying to build a conversation. "Yeah, but I need to prepare some stuff for July" she started to walk towards the end of the hall, me and Mabel followed her as she kept on explaining. "In two weeks, we're gonna make this huge party. It's gonna be like prom but WAY better!! And me and a friend of mine are the ones who take care of the music for that party." "Uuuuu, a party you say?~" Mabel asked. Wendy turned around to face us and walked backwards"Yep! It"s gonna be AWESOME!!" She turned back around and continued walking to another section of the building. I started to hear some guitar noises and as we walked we were getting closer the guitar was getting louder. My mind started to picture Robbie, Wendy's uh...boyfriend..ex-boyfriend??? Really confusing.  Wendy got in this room, that appeared to be a recording studio.
