"I should have known. She always had those innocent eyes whenever she pulls her silly pranks on me"

Igarashi opened her eyes to be met with the white ceiling. At first,only an annoying ringing sound was heard inside her ear but it slowly faded away. And now,a slow beep sounds filled her ear.

Her breathing was ragged inside the oxygen mask. She knew that it wasn't heaven nor the hell. She wouldn't be lucky enough to go to the heaven with the weight of crimes she committed and also knew that she wouldn't be laying on a comfortable bed if she were happen to fall onto the hell.

"Igarashi?"

The familiar voice reached her ear. Turning her head to the side,she was met with the a worried looking Dongwook.

She is still alive.

But,how?

She definitely knew that she was on her way to die. And like a thousands of trucks hitting her,she widened her crimson eyes.

Whose heart? Whose heart beating inside me?

The only person who came to her mind was none other than her husband.

No.

That can't be.

An awfully loud beeping sound of her heart took Dongwook's attention. He immediately sat next to her trying to calm her down.

"Calm down. Hey hey hey,Shh,it's okay. Everyone is safe"

This didn't calm her down. She tried to remove the oxygen mask but Dongwook didn't let her.

"Stop! You are messing around. It's not good to move too much — hey! Stop!",he freaked out seeing Igarashi freaking out in her trance state.

"Y –Yibo",she successfully uttered his name and stared directly into his eyes.

Dongwook saw the obvious fear in her eyes. He softened his eyes and smiled sadly. This move only made her more anxious.

She felt it too hard to breath even with the oxygen mask. She prepared for the worst.

"He is fine. He is alive and fine "

She heaved the sigh she was holding back. Closing her eyes,she smiled knowing he is safe. She wouldn't be able to keep going if she ever lost him.

But then again,whose heart? With a questioning stare,she looked at Dongwook. She hoped that it shouldn't be one of her brothers. It will be her worst nightmare.

Dongwook smiled. "Don't worry. Your brothers are safe too"

Again,she was able to breath comfortably knowing they are safe. But it didn't mean that her concerns were all gone. Who is beating inside her now? Just who? Whose heart the Emperor stole for her?

Wait —how did Dongwook come here?Did the Emperor let him in?

But she couldn't voice out her thoughts when Dongwook spoke.

"Don't think too much now. You need to rest. Look,it's the first snow fall. You're lucky",he babbled opening the curtains, showing the outside view through the glass window. "Don't try to stand up immediately. My dad will be here soon. Till then,rest well"

He again walked upto her and patted her shoulder with a smile. "You scared me red eyes. Idiot. I will spare you for now and once you get well,I'll kill you",

He left the room without saying any more word.

She had so many questions. She didn't even know what is the most important thing she should be thinking now.
