iwaizumi had so many questions circling around in his head. How long has oikawa been on tinder? How many people has he matched with? Why didn't he tell iwaizumi that he was dating? Does hanamaki know?

a photo of oikawa sitting across the table with his chin resting in his hand and a lazy peace sign thrown up and a smile so soft and sweet that he's absolutely sure that no one could turn him down and the cutest, most adorable wink, a photo that iwaizumi had taken, is on display. He has to blink repeatedly, double-checking that his eyes aren't deceiving him.

but the biggest question of all was so apparent it was giving him a headache.

what the fuck was he supposed to do now?

and as if that wasn't stressful enough, oikawa had swiped right on him too so now IT WAS A MATCH.

you'd think he would be happy at this realization where iwaizumi found out that oikawa likes him back but he realized that it might not be that serious.

what if oikawa was just doing this for fun.

what if he was with hanamaki right now and he was making fun of him it something?

but he knew oikawa wasn't like that.

but even so, he only had one thought on his mind.

practice was going to be so awkward.

practice was exactly the same.

when iwaizumi entered the gym that monday morning, oikawa didn't even look at him any differently.

everything was perfectly normal. like it had never happened.

it was like they both subconsciously decided to ignore the newfound feelings for each other that may or may not be real and just continue along with their day.

they did they're serving and receiving drills and after the practice was over, they all left the gym.

oikawa and iwaizumi always walked home together because their house were relatively close to each other, but this wasn't just any other walk.

it was so awkward.

iwaizumi focused on the pebble he was kicking instead of trying to make conversation and oikawa hummed a well known song.

eventually they made it to oikawas house where iwaizumi would leave him and set off for his own residence.

as oikawa walked up his steps and reached the door he turned around one last time at iwaizumi and they locked eyes.

his big brown eyes locked with his blueish ines as the wind passed coldly through their air.

oikawa smiled a small smile before it turned into a cocky one.

"see ya tomorrow iwa-chan. oh! and don't forget to text me." he said snarkly as he winked and disappeared inside.

iwaizumi's cheeks flushed red as his head fell to the ground to focus on the pebble and head home.

he scoffed and started to walk.
