I liked being the new girl in school. It was just a way to meet new people. A fresh start. I was far from shy so making new friends was always easy.
I walked in the building I would now be calling my school. It seemed pretty normal and people seemed alright. Cute guys too.
I took my schedule out of my pocket and looked at what I had. History. What a bummer. I walked around school, trying to find my classroom. After a while I gave up and decided to ask someone. I looked around me and noticed a guy leaning his back on the wall with his eyes closed. He wore a versity jacket so I knew he was one of the popular guys. Maybe if I was lucky, he wasn't an asshole like most popular people.
I walked up to him and tapped his shoulder. His eyes snapped open and starred back at me. I smiled at him, trying to seem polite. "Hello. I'm new here and I can't seem to find my history class." He smiled back and looked down at the schedule in my hands. "May I see?" I nodded and handed it to him. He starred down at it for a moment. "I'm going that way actually. Just follow me."
I followed him down the hallways. He stayed silent at first but me being me, decided to start a conversation. "I'm Chloe by the way." He looked down at me with a slight frown. He blinked a few times and smiled. "I'm Liam. Sorry for coming off as unfriendly. It's been a rough week." He excused himself. I shrugged. "It's alright."
The once chatty hallways were suddenly silent. Liam seemed to notice since he stopped walking and starred in front of him. Everyone stared the same way. They stared at a girl with long dark hair and blue eyes. She walked passed us with her head down. Liam looked at her with sadness and love.
Other students started giggling and calling her names. She ignored them and continued with her way. "Who is that?" I asked Liam. He looked at me with a small smile. "It's Jaiden."
"Why are people acting like this around her?" I was curious. People wouldn't just hate her for no reason. "She was my girlfriend but there was some complications." He answered. I let out a loud exasperated sigh, making Liam laugh lightly. "Just tell me everything! Everyone else seems to know so why can't I?" It was his turn to sigh but in defeat. I always won at these kind of things.
"She broke up with me this week. Turns out she was seeing somene else and only because he's a drug dealer and she's an addict. Her best friend told everyone that Jaiden only started dating me because she had a crush on me." I frowned. It was normal for these kind of things to happen at my old school. They made it so much more seriouse then it was.
I rolled my eyes. Her 'best friend' obviously wasn't that much of a best friend. She should have been by her side no matter what and work through their problems. Not tell everyone about all the bad Jaiden did. "Did she admit to it?" I asked. He shook his head. "Any proof she did those things?" He shook his head again. "Then how do you know she did those thiings?"
"Gaby told everyone." He shrugged.
"Who's Gaby?"
"Her best friend. Well, not anymore."
"Well I don't trust this Gaby." He laughed loudly and shook his head. "She's hot so people believe what she says."
"Just get me to class." I had enough about this. I didn't care what did Jaiden did or not. She seemed nice and I had decided that I would befriend her.
Liam nodded and we continued walking. We soon arrived to my classroom. "It's here. It was nice meeting you Chloe." I rolled my eyes and walked in class. He was stupid for believing what other people were saying. He obviously loved Jaiden so he should trust her.
My classes were boring and it was soon time for lunch. I walked in the cafeteria and looked around. My eyes stopped on what I was looking for. Jaiden.
