***********************************************************************************************

After waking up as normal- and with that, it means, waking up at lunch time, like the lazy bum he usually is-, Cale felt in the mood of showing signs of life to his hyung, after all, he hasn't been in the mood to do visits to the palace from a couple of weeks and the last time he saw him, he wasn't in the best state of mind to enjoy a battle of glib tongues and fake smiles like he usually would in the presence of his majesty.

He ate his lunch at bed -because yes, he still is a slacker even if he keeps going round and round searching for things to keep his mind occupied- and called for the kids to join him bother his hyung at his office.

"I'm going to pay a visit to his majesty" said the redhead, while tying his feather-like mane with his usual black ribbon in a half ponytail.

"I want to go, nya!"

"Me too, nya"

"Uncle cookies! Let's go, human!"

With a little hum and a nod, Cale took the cat siblings in his arms and turned his head to signal Raon to start the teleportation magic. Nobody made a comment about the young master's now renewed and well rested image, the kids now averaging 13 years old meeting their own gazes with a complicity look in their eyes, believing their plan to follow Cale everywhere and keep his mind busy is finally paying off.

***

Well, it seems like Cale's plan to have a tongue battle (in the 'talk with a fake and admiring tone' kind of battle, not the other one, *cof cof) with his sworn brother is going to have to be delayed, counting the fact that his majesty looks like (in the absence of a better word to describe the situation) royal shit. If there's any giveaway of the state of mind his overworked majesty is right now, is the fact that he's been trying to write sinking his pen in the cup of tea in front of him, instead of peeling his view from the document in his desk to move his hand a little bit more to the left and sink the pen in the ACTUAL inkwell.

Yes, he looks fed up with everything happening in his life, and considering the fact that his desk is floating with piles of other papers and documents, Cale decided to just let his hyung face the consequences of his hard-worked dream and placed his wealthy slacker ass on the most comfortable couch in the room, melting and almost becoming one with the soft fabric.

The kids followed suit, accommodating themselves at the sides of their father figure and enjoying the sun that was making its entrance through the window. While Hong's eyes started to give in to the slumber and Raon's body was starting to relax under Cale's soft touch in his back, On changed to her human form- something that almost nobody could take a glimpse of in war times, but because of the now peaceful atmosphere surrounding the heroes and the 'keeping Cale's mind occupied' plan (in this case, changing forms so they can be with him at every moment, that meaning working in the farm with him or taking walks side by side or making Cale stay more aware of their images and needs in human form, dragging him inside clothes stores or hairdressers time to time), it was starting to be something more usual for the siblings- and walked to the little pantry at the side of the bookshelf to take a jar of cookies and a tea set.

'The kids are taking over that disrespectful bastard' thought Alberu, looking sideways to the frame of the little girl boiling water and taking the tray with snacks to the table in front of his father's couch. Because, even if he is used to this, he can't help but argue in his mind that he is still a king, and this are still his royal chambers they just barged in without permission. But then again, he knows there's nothing he can do about it, his dongsaeng (and, apparently, the kids too now) is this kind of person anyway.
