Brownie kicked a red bouncy ball around their yard, bored,

"Could today be any more boring than it already is?" Brownie asked herself.

"Yes, it could." A male voice answered.

"Wha...? Who's there?" Brownie demanded.

A little Pikachu came out of the Eeveelution's Great Oak Tree.

"The name's Brian." The Pikachu told her. "And you are..."

"Brownie." Brownie answered.

"Well, nice to meet you, Brownie." Brian answered.

"You too, Brian." Brownie said.

"I've been watching you for the past few days and I know one thing you need." Brian told her.

Brownie was really interested now. "I'm listening." She told Brian.

"So, what you need is a party!" Brian exclaimed.

Brownie's tail was wagging uncontrollably.

"Yes! Yes! A party! I'd LOVE a party!" She exclaimed.

"And lucky for you, I am hosting a party soon at the Great Sycamore." Brian told her.

"That's not too far from here." Brownie said.

"You're right. That's why you won't have too much trouble getting there by yourself." Brian told her.

"By myself." Brownie whispered, worried. The she said louder, "But I've never gone out of our territory by myself!"

"Have you ever been to the Great Sycamore before?" Brian asked.

"Yes. Many times." Brownie answered.

"Do you know the way there?" Brian asked.

"I think so," Brownie answered.

"Then you'll be fine." Brian assured her. "No Pokémon will attack you if they know you know me."

Brownie cocked her head at Brian.

"Trust me." Brian told her.

Brownie nodded curtly.

"So, are you coming?" Brian asked.

Brownie nodded vigorously. "You bet!" She yipped.

Brian hopped away. "Alright see you there! By the way, the party is on the next half moon of the thirteenth."

"I'll be there!" Brownie called after him.
