Lev POV
It was Lev's first day of school and his first day of volleyball club. Alisa, his older sister, said she would drive him to school today but she's not ready, as per usual. Once he got his volleyball bag and school bag ready, he went downstairs to get some breakfast. As he got his slices of toast ready, his sister barged in the door.
"Oi Levotchka! You ready for school yet?!" Alisa shouted as she walked in. "I've been here for half an hour!"
Lev sighed. "I'm eating breakfast Alisa. And why didn't you come in or honk?" Lev said as he took a bite of his toast.
"I figured you'd see my car? You're going to be late soon anyways, look at the time." Alisa said as she stole his second piece of toast.
As Lev looked at the time his eyes widened and he shoved his piece of toast in his mouth before grabbing his bags and running out to his sisters car, putting his bags in and getting in himself. "HURRY UP ALISA! I"M GONNA BE LATE FOR MY FIRST DAY!" he said as he honked the horn at her.
Alisa laughed and walked out to her car and got in the driver's seat. "You don't have to honk the horn at me Levotchka, I heard your shouting.'' She rolled her eyes and started the car.
As Alisa drove Lev to school, some people were already in the gym waiting for the new volleyball first year while practicing their receives, sets and spikes. Kenma was Nekomas setter, Kuroo was Nekomas captain and a middle blocker, meanwhile Yaku was receiving Kuroos spikes due to him being the powerhouse schools libero. As Yaku Morisuke practiced with Kenma Kozume and Kuroo Tetsurou they heard a car pull into the parking lot before a tall silver haired male got out and shouted at a similarly tall female in the drivers seat. "You didn't have to drive that fast Alisa!!" he said as he grabbed his bags and shut the door.
Alisa shouted back. "Yeah well I wanted to get you here on time! Love you little bro! Have a good day at school!" After Lev walked away from the car, Alisa drove home.
As Lev walked into the gym mumbling something about his sister he didn't notice the second and third years already there. "Ahem! Newbie!" a voice shouted from across the gym.
Lev jumped and looked to where the voice was coming from and saw a rooster haired boy. "Um.. hi? Are you the captain..?" he asked meekly.
"Yup, Kuroo Tetsurou, Captain of Nekoma. You can call me Kuroo. The blonde is Kenma and the short demon senpai is Yaku. Welcome to our school, we're glad to have ya." he said as he shook the tall gray haired boy's hand.
At the moment Yaku heard the word short he side kicked Kuroo in the side, making Kuroo lose grip of Lev's hand. After the awkward silence, Lev was the first to speak.
"H-hi Kuroo-san, Yaku-san, Kenma-san!" he said as he bowed slightly, his bags falling to his side. "I-i'm Levotchka Haiba, but you can call me Lev!" he said, nervous as hell.
Yaku was the first one to speak after the awkward silence following Lev's introduction. "Oi Lev, I'm going to be helping you with receives. How badly do you suck?"
Lev was speechless as he stood up and stared at his short senpai. Lev's heart started beating faster as he stared at his shortest senpai. "I.. I uhm.."
Kuroo chuckled and joked. "Look at him! He looks like he's love-struck!" Kuroo chuckled as he pointed at Lev.
Kenma looked down at Kuroo's pocket which held his game and spoke softly. "Quit making fun of Lev.. He's just nervous.." Kenma tried to reach and take the console back but Kuroo slapped his hand away.
"No Kenma, no games. We're welcoming the tall ass newbie" Kuroo lectured Kenma.
Kenma huffed and crossed his arms, mumbling to himself about some stupid rooster-haired captain.
