going for a run // 2

Marinette approached adrien after class.

"can I talk to you for a second?" marinette said to him as he packed up his books

he didn't respond.

"listen, I'm sorry for being rude earlier.. I understand you were trying to help." she said

"its fine.. I shouldn't have been in your business anyway-" he said before being cut off by a large boom outside

marinette smiled and nodded

"well got to go!" she exclaimed before running out

adrien made a questioned face, then he ran into the back of the classroom and transformed.

Marinette transformed inside an empty room and then exited the school

she hopped onto the same platform as chat.

"Mr. Pigeon again." chat groaned

ladybug smiled

"at least we get to see each other ha.." she said with a smile

chat looked at her and had a slight smile.

"I guess." he said before jumping into action with the villain

ladybug.. well she sorta had feelings for chat.

she wasn't sure exactly but, she knew she liked him. He made her feel safe.

she hopped into battle aswell,

marinette detransformed as she landed out back of the school.

she ran back inside and made it just on time for her next class.

marinette walked into the classroom and saw everyone had new seats.

"ah marinette, you are seated right next to adrien agreste from now on." the teacher said

marinettes face dropped of happiness.

she scoffed

"really??" she groaned

"yes" the teacher replied

she sat in the seat but the seat next to her was empty.

where was he..

then he ran in

"sorry im late." he said

"its fine adrien, take your seat next to marinette."

he nodded and sat next to her

she went as far to the edge of the bench seat she could just so she didn't have to sit close to him.

the teacher began teaching.

marinette got up and began walking out

adrien stopped her

"listen if you don't wanna sit next to me, I'll ask the teacher for a switch." he said

she turned around slowly

"its fine." she said before walking away without another word.

"oh- ok.." he said

"she wants to sit next to me.." he said with a slight smile.

marinette walked home, she sighed as she entered her room.

she looked at the kwami box and the assortments on her wall of trying to find out who shadowmoth was.

she struggled, alone, everyday..

she sat in her chair, reading through the grimoire, over and over.

she checked the time and it was already 2am.

she was shocked it was that late.

she tried to go to sleep but couldn't.

by that time it was already 4am.

she got out of bed and put on a pair of biker shorts and a light, white tshirt.

she walked downstairs and out of the building.

she went for a run in the fresh morning air.

she wasn't sleepy, well she was.. but the air helped her wake up a bit.

she stopped at a brick wall of a cafe, across from the agreste mansion.

she leaned against the wall and the pressure came down on her.

tears fell from her eyes, she was exhausted.

adrien did the same thing as the day before, he woke up, got a cup of coffee, and sat on the front steps.

he was sitting there when he saw movement from across the street.

a person, leaning against a wall.

he noticed the blue hair..

"marinette..?" he said to himself

he quietly opened the gate and walked closer.

she was crying..

she felt a presence walk up to her.

she looked up and saw no other than adrien agreste.

"are you ok..?" he said

she wiped her eyes

"w- what? why do you even care." she said angrily

"i saw you crying, I care because im not a horrible person.. are you doing ok, this is the second time I've seen you at this time, alone." he said

"well why do you come outside this early?" she asked him

"no reason?" he said

"but I can tell you have a reason." he continued.

"I dont-" she scoffed

"then why were you crying?" he asked

"im just tired." she replied

he could tell by the eye bags under her eyes.

"why couldn't you sleep?" he said

"because I couldn't?"

"listen, its not all that safe for you to be running at 4:30am alone." he said to her

"I can defend myself.. are you trying to call me weak?" she scoffed

"no... I'm just worried.. for you. I don't know you very well, but I can tell when something is up with someone. why don't you come inside and I'll give you a cup of coffee?" he said

she looked at him hesitantly.

"I guess. I am pretty thirsty.." she replied

"ok.. you can tell me whats on your mind if you want." he said as they began walking.

"thanks.." she replied.
