"Sonoko. You do know that you are dragging your friends out at 7 am on the weekend just to get ready to capture some stupid thief right?" You were very irritated since you lost your sleeping time. The three of you were walking own the streets, one block right before the shopping center. There were barely any people on the streets other than a few hangover businessmen and some housewives doing grocery shopping.

She stopped walking, turned faced you, and said, "No, no, no darling. You've gotten somethings wrong." She shook her pointing finger at you. "One, Kid-sama is not stupid. He is the best thief in the world. Two, I told you that I am going to make him fall in love with me. I have to look good at the party." 

Ran helped you after she saw how your veins were showing, "But why at seven? I understand that you want our opinions on your looks but seven in the morning? Geez, even that is a bit too much!"

"Because you guys are going too and y'all will have to look perfect." She replied, walking again

You and Ran stared at each other before "Wait, we are going too?"

"Duh, I need help at the party. What if something goes wrong? That's why the two of you have to come to support too!" She said.

"That is fine and all, but I have to dress up too?" You asked. You did not want to make a fuss over a thief and a party. "I am sure that I would have something in my closet that I can just throw on."

"No, you cannot do such a thing! If I am going to invite friends, I alway have to dress them up. Don't worry, you guys will look great! Also, I will pay for your's (y/n)! Think of it as your payment." She said, skipping off. Sonoko began to hum as she thought up of all the outfits.

 "It's no use. She made up her mind." Ran mumbled to you. You nodded and thought about the long day ahead. Then both you and Ran hurried ahead to catch up to Sonoko. 

After shopping for six hours, it was decided that it was time to take a break. "God! I am so tired," said Sonoko.

"Me too..." agreed Ran. The two of them sat on the bench, laying back against the bench.

"What are you talking about? Sonoko it was your idea to wake up this early in the morning and shop at every store we find. We still have to talk about the plan." You said, and you really meant EVERY.

"H- how are you not tired?" She panted. "I am used to it back in the north. Come on we will talk about the plan in the cafè over there." You told her, pointing at the cafè.

At the cafe:

"OK so let's review. First, pretend to go along on capturing Kaito Kid." You said. You are reviewing the so-called plan on "capturing Kaito Kid" after you explained it. You brainstormed about the plan all last night and you finally came up with one that you were satisfied with. After you got it down on paper and changed some parts, the sun was already up. That's the reason why you were so livid when Sonoko called you up after only four hours of sleep. 

"You got all of that?" You asked after you're finished explaining it again. 

"Yes," Sonoko and Ran said together. They were so focused. 

"Then that is about it." You gathered all of the papers together. "Are you guys ready or do we need to shop more?"

"Oh! It is nearly two. How about we call it a day. Remember the party is tomorrow at 5! I will pick you guy up at 4 okay?" Said Sonoko, jumping up. She grabbed her share of the shopping bags. There were around 11 of them, 8 of which were Sonoko's.

"Sure. Well, I will be leaving then," said Ran. She easily carried the two bags and left the cafè. The doorbell jingles and Sonoko was still struggling with her belongings. As she was, you grab her hand.

"Hey! Wha-" She said. You dragged her outside; looked at her in the face and asked: "Are you done playing yet?" She was about to spurt out questions when you cut her off again.

"Don't you play dumb with me!" Your voice was still, "Kaito Kid."

Sonoko stared at you, started to laugh, and set a pink smoke bomb off.

When the smoke cleared, the person standing in front of you was not your friend, it was the infamous thief, Kaito Kid. He had his infamous grin on. feets away from you. He slips his hand into his pocket, and asked, "What gave me away, Tantei-chan?"

"After I left to go to the restroom while we were shopping, "Sonoko" (doing the two fingers) was acting weird."

He laughed, "How so? I thought my acting was pretty good."

You told him, "One, Sonoko is a big fan of yours. That is why she would not get tired in just for 6 hours of shopping. She would have shopped for 10 hours or heck, even more, and still not get tired."

You lifted up two fingers. "Two, when I was talking about the plan, she did not even ask a single question. That is really weird. The real one would have asked dozens of them. Three, the real one would NEVER tell us to go home. She would have told us that we will shop even more. Also the three of us thought about sleeping over at my place. Four, sh-"

"OK, OK I get. I didn't act her as well as I thought I did." His mask broke for a second but he kept it going.

"So, what will you do now? Huh, tantei-chan?"
