The beginning of Hotchniss

This one-shot is what should have happened in 5x1

Emily's POV
As I watch Hotch lay in that hospital bed with the wires attached to him I just want him to wake up and be okay. I'm in the sit right of his bed just staring and then he flutters his eyes open. "Hey" I say softly as I scoot closer to him.

"Hey" he said with a small smile and a raspy voice. I reach out to hold his hand and he takes it "Is Jack and Haley okay?" He asked.

"Yeah there fine they are on their way right now before they have to go into witness protection"

"Witness protection!" He exclaimed.

"Yeah Foyet knows where they live, Aaron." I said and he looked away. I got up and bent over and put my my hand under his chin to lift his and up to meet my eyes and said "They are going to be okay." He smiled and connected our lips. I pulled away so I would hurt him.

"Lay with me, please." He whispered.

"Of course" I said as he scooted over so I could lay on his chest and we both fell asleep like that.

I heard people  come in as I woke up. I slowly opened my eyes and I saw the team eyes widened as they saw me and Aaron cuddling. I looked up at him and he's still asleep so I slowly get up so I didn't wake him but of course I did. Everyone ignored what just happen because of the circumstances but then Rossi seized the awkward silence.

"Haley and Jack are here do you want me to tell them to come in"

"Yeah in a minute" Aaron said looking at me making sure I'm okay from what just happened.

After he said that everyone left since Haley was about to come in but I stayed for a second later.

"You going to tell them?" He asked as he reached for my hand once again.

"I kind of have to, they just saw us cuddling." I said with a chuckle and he returned one. We just sat there staring in each others eyes as I heard footsteps, it was Haley. I let go of his hand and walked out giving Haley a small smile.

I walked up to the team and JJ came up to me and said "So you and boss man?" She said with a smirk on her face.

I didn't answer I just smiled and went to the rest of the team which they obviously had the same questions and all I said was "Yeah" and "Morgan I can beat your ass if i wanted to"

I saw Haley and Jack leave his room and we said our goodbyes to them as they left the hospital. I walked back into Aarons room and sat on his bed with one leg hanging off while Aaron tells me about his encounter with Foyet until we fell asleep once again holding each other.
