"In this life.. people gets to have their own way to live, getting with something that kinda made them who they are now. Most hoped it be special or great. I kinda doubt it with my life greeting those expectations.... But everyone has their beginnings."

A creak of a window sounded off quietly with the person opening it appeared to be as careful as he can with hopes his family was asleep or occupied else where besides the room. The floor creaked a little when entering inside with his feet to walk, going towards the closet. Bit of pain could be felt from his bottom backside, letting out a small grunt since it ain't the best night receiving hits from a flying trashcan. Opening the closet, he takes out some clothing to change into.

"Wonder what's worse. Getting hit with a trashcan like it's wwe or being trashed by a kid who doesn't know what he's doing?"
Asking himself calmly as he starts taking off his gear until having a few moments later with himself having a quick change of clothes. He puts his suit in a container to keep away till later, being glad he didn't need to repair it again. Picking up his helmet to put in last he could hear his parents calling him over.

"Yeah?.. Coming!"
He replied quickly putting the last of his suit away before closing the closet to step out of the bedroom. Almost been a year since he decided to go out bringing down the usual crime spree, handling robberies, muggings, and anything cops mostly check at to help. Didn't came easy to do at times without a few bruises and bandages here and there. Even when his identity was almost presented to see it almost felt like luck was on his side in keeping it secret.

It was a special night for the young teen cause it's only once a year when thanking for the things you have sinks in a bit better. Despite moving to a new state with its own share of problems afterward. Honestly felt nice to see the blessing and assurance on knowing no matter how insane things may become... doesn't hurt to hope for the best of us. A few playful screams could be heard as some siblings was playing around at the table.

Wasn't long for things to get situated as the mom and two other siblings brought the last of the food to the table. The father was prepping the table, having the one called over earlier to help finish. Once everything was ready, dad calls everyone left over to eat as it definitely was a good selection of food to choose from. The scent alone brought some feeling of hunger, knowing nothing hits more good than a home cooked meal for dinner.

Some of the family didn't had much knowledge in the other life the oldest son/brother had which was surprising for some reason. Most of the times when he's gotten serious or minor injuries he managed playing it off by getting into fights or accidents with some of his builds. Felt suspicious to some, knowing something wasn't right apparently in all this. Despite finding out his quirk, both parents gave their best to help him keep it secret as they were very aware of those who'll try to exploit it.

They soon bowed their heads, giving thanks for the food provided in front of them on the table. Certainly was a lot of things for the family to be thankful about as the year brought some success and also trouble. Didn't stop them on pushing through after across the states to where they are now in N.H.. Once they finished, the parents started passing everyone food to eat.

Some of the younger siblings laughed a little while getting their meals.
"Hey, settle down and eat. Ain't going to be dessert if you keep playing around."
Dad says in a calm manner when noticing, feeling content and happy with his wife and children since it never made him feel less every time he saw all of them together. He held his wife's hand lovingly and smiled being lucky and blessed to have a family as this.

Conversation was soon started at the table, keeping the silence away for this thankful moment. Mom and Dad talked about the day as most of it dealt with some handyman jobs Dad had to work on with his boss.
"How many came around over there?"
One of the siblings asked quietly, looking towards the oldest that was eating to get his attention. He scratches the side of his face a little during it as he notices with a curious expression.
"Hm?"
He replied loooking at his younger brother.

"How many came around there? Didn't go well in first helping against a powered person."
Younger brother asks again reminding him the crazy memory.
"It was about five more or less. Wasn't nothing to worry about, even the police came in time."
The older brother quietly answered as he was aware of there being criminals having abilities as well. Even remembering the first time he encountered one made him feel again some injuries from the fight.

Everyone finished up some moments later as some of the kids decided to grab a second serving.
"Cake should be ready now."
Dad says with a small chuckle, getting up to head over to the kitchen. He felt a slight pain in his hand, letting out a grunt as he held it carefully due to how annoying it can be.

Mom managed to notice it once she heard the grunt, getting up so she can check on him. She tells one of the kids to get the dessert while doing so.
"Bae, are you okay?"
She asks him being concerned since she already wondered if the pain was acting up again.
"I'm alright. Just another small flare.."
He answered with a wince in pain. Wasn't easy doing some things everyday when some of your joints act act up.

One of the older kids walks over to bring the cake out to eat, being placed inside on the table for everyone. It was cut into slices to be served as it was pretty delicious for a homemade vanilla cake with purple frosting and sprinkles. Both of the parents came back to get their slices after dad's pain from the flare up faded a bit. He made sure to be careful with his hand while eating his piece.

Cleaning soon started, having some take care of the table while some others handled the plates to wash. Dad opens the kitchen cabinet as he grabs some medication to take with a cup of water ready. Mom helped one of her children wash the plates, being glad they used foam ones so they can get only the utensils and pots. Some of the kids were another slice of cake as it certainly was delicious.

Shortly after; the leftovers were wrapped up and put away. Everyone seem to be doing their own thing as the parents were watching a movie in the living room. Some of the kids were with them during it since family time is something they cherished a lot on. A few laughs and giggles could be heard as some scenes being played looked pretty funny.

In the boy's bedroom the oldest let out a slight wince in pain when holding a some bagged ice on the received injury from his patrol. Thoughts paced around in mind, staring at the wall to think. He wasn't sure how long he could keep it going with this act... being only a matter of time before his parents discovers this other life. Hiding secrets from them made life rough to hold on, having his mind move at the edge of cracking most times.

His mind slowly started to wander off with these things, shaking his head a bit to snap out of it.
"Man these things are gonna hit me like a truck someday..."
Saying to himself with the ice pack soon put to the side. Letting out a deep breath he looks to the right, seeing a glimpse of the helmet that he put away. Having a quick moment to stare at the thing which was the start of all this, the young teen slowly got up, closing the closet door shut.

Grabbing the phone from his computer desk he goes to the music selection list. He checked through some songs before finding to play first, putting on his earbuds connected to it to listen. The beats always worked in helping his mind roll mind on the right track with the lyrics giving some stability on what came around inside.
'Not the night I had in mind... At least it turned out okay for everyone.'

He lays on his bed to relax as his eyes looked at the ceiling.
'Some bad guys get handed to a cozy cell, bringing this thankful night well and quiet for mom, dad and my crazed siblings. Even teleported again without using the bike to get home. Which I gotta work on..'
Thought to himself with a faint chuckle since it honestly was a eventful night for this friendly traveling hero.

'Well.. Happy thanksgiving.. in this day and every other.'
Letting out a faint smile he started to close his eyes as he relaxed, knowing how each day has its worth... even the bad ones.
