Ella
My day was going quite well. I spent the rest of the day with Tristan, visited Gilroy's Animal Shelter. They received the donation I asked Emma sorry, Mom to help with and we're happier than ever. But the good day was ruined when I got home.
Tristan kissed me bye and drove home. I watched until the car was out of sight and walked into the house. Mom and Leo looked petrified but not as petrified as I was when I saw them. They were smiling like the psychopaths they are and studying the house calculatingly. It was the people who gave birth to me.
"What are you doing here?" I gritted my teeth.
They turned to me and my mom sorry, Jazelle, smiled even wider.
"Daughter, there you are!" She said.
"I repeat, what are you doing here?" I asked again.
"Why we came to pick you and take you back home." She said.
The door opened and Kyle, Ethan, Aiden and Josh walked in laughing. They stopped dead in their tracks when they saw the uninvited guests.
"New friends! Too bad you're going to miss them." Jazella said.
"I am not going anywhere with you." I almost yelled.
"I see you've grown the courage to yell at us. Don't forget your place." Dad warned.
I did something no one was expecting. I laughed.
"My place? Wow, you are as stupid as they come. My place, father is here. My family is here. My parents are Leonardo and Emmaline Miller. My siblings, Kyle, Ethan, Josh, Matt and Aiden. This is my place unlike you. What do you have here? Nothing. Just like you have always been. Nothing." I spat.Jazelle smirked and clapped. "Tough words for a girl who used to beg forgiveness from us. 'Please stop' 'Dont hit me'" She imitated.
I rolled my eyes. "I don't have time for this. Leave the house now. You are wanted criminals don't forget that. You'll be behind bars yet again if you don't leave right now." I said.
Jazelle laughed again and smirked. "The law? You want to use the law against us. Dear Hun, the law is what will bring you back to us. These two," she said pointing at Mom and Leo. "kidnapped you. We didn't give our permission and so they can easily get arrested. But have it your way, I guess we'll be seeing you in court soon." With that she walked out with her husband like she owned the place leaving me to try and prevent my veins from bursting in anger.
"What. Just. Happened?" Kyle asked.
I sighed. "It's the people who birthed me. They have come back to ruin my life." I said looking down.
I felt arms around me and I realized I was in a group hug. All we needed now was Matt.
"We'll get through this. But first, we need to get a good lawyer." Leo said.
"Not good, thee best." Ethan grinned.
Soon, everyone else filed to their rooms leaving only Mom and I.
She was still frozen in shock and I hugged her. She started crying and I just let her. I never really loved my parents so it wasn't as hard for me as it was for her. Keeping her emotions bottled up all the time was dangerous and she needed to let them out."It's going to be okay one day." I muttered.
She sniffed. "I know it will."

The next day was the most amazing day of my life, is what I would have said if it was the most amazing day of my life. In fact, it was the complete opposite. We were having a career advice conference at school so the classes after lunch were cancelled. The seniors filed into the gymnasium and I sat between Tristan and Audrey with Kyle at her side.
Once everyone was settled, the principal walked in and smiled. He made a whole speech about careers and education and whatnot. Soon, successful doctors and authors and a lot of kind of people talked to us about the journey to a career that makes you blissful.
"And now, we have a volunteer from our own school, West Brooke high who has a presentation to show us. Everyone welcome Zoe Nallway." The principal said.
Zoe skipped to podium with a large smile on her face that was almost suspicious but I waved it away.
"Thank you Principal Hedge and thank you all for taking the time to attend this conference to help us determine how we are going to spend our lives in the future. I prepared a 10 slide presentation to help my fellow students in their pursuit of success. I hope you all enjoy and learn something." With that, the screen behind her lit up and I froze. It was a video of me working at a bar. I remember when I used to work there to earn money to buy beer for my parents so that they couldn't beat me up well at least so that they couldn't beat me up that much.
Then video changed and it showed me talking to an officer I recognized as Charlie. It was the day Emma came to get me and bring me here.
They video changed and it showed me screaming and running away from my parents when they tried to sell me and buy more drugs. So they resorted to throwing broken bottles at me so I could lose consciousness.
"Turn it off!" Tristan yelled.
My face was wet with tears as I stood and ran out of the gym and out to the bleachers. Why would she do that? I mean I get that she was angry at me but she crossed the line. She had no right to show that to every senior, teacher and even some random successful people.
"Ella?" Tristan's soft voice sounded but I didn't have it in me to reply. I curled up and brought my knees to my chest as I burried my head in my knees.
"Ella, gosh I am going to decapitate that Zoe." I heard Audrey say.
Tristan's arms surrounded me as I moaned uncontrollably. Painful memories played themselves like a movie marathon not helping my situation at all.
I pulled away and tried to keep a straight strong face.
"I.. I am going home." I croaked. My friends all gave me sympathetic looks but didn't argue.
"I'll take you." Tristan said.
I stood up to leave and Audrey called my name. She smiled sadly and hugged me. Soon, it was a Group hug before I pulled away and let Tristan take me home. He held my hand the whole way there and wasn't about to let it go.
"Ella?"
"Yes Tristan?"
"You can cry now you know." He said, his voice holding so much delicacy.
My resolve broke and I broke down with it
