Long legs, broad shoulders and the most perfect lips to purse into a pout — it was hard for any to not look when he entered the room. His presence didn't demand attention, rather it commanded it. Even from a distance, the moment that Choi Yeonjun entered a room, all eyes were on him and that was normal.
Beomgyu silently adjusted his scope, zooming in on those stupidly pink lips that curled upward — a smile so charming that it could bewitch a lesser man; luckily, Beomgyu was not the lesser Choi. He shifted the weight of his sniper rifle, the crosshairs never left the target as he did. His finger teased the trigger, tempting it with its touch ... then the crackle of his in-ear radio broke through.
"You know ...," Beomgyu blinked in surprise at the sheer audacity of his target. He didn't respond to the man's voice — people like Choi Yeonjun would fill the silence if given the chance, after all. "I wouldn't mind being killed by you Choi Beomgyu." The kilometers between them didn't matter nor did the garbled static that crackled through the in-ear radio - Beomgyu could see the smile that edged onto Yeonjun's lips, followed by the ghost of a laugh. "But you should remember, darling, if you're going to aim a gun at me ...be sure to pull the trigger.."
Beomgyu froze as he pointed his index finger at him, wink and pretend to fire off a gun. He lowered his weapon, eyes moved immediately to the left as heard a soft beep echo into a countdown.
"Three ...," Yeonjun continued, "Two ...," Beomgyu turned his head all the way to the left, just in time to see, "One."

Beomgyu knew how people worked — despite his quick ability to fall into high tensioned excitement and raise the morale ("Annoyance, not morale," Kang Taehyun would always make sure to clarify) of those around him, Beomgyu knew how people worked and why. It was his speciality, after all. He read people like newspapers; their stories headlined in black and white, until he found their secrets and made sure they were read all over. People moved like traffic lights — all Beomgyu had to do was push their buttons, wait for the light to turn green and they were willing to run their mouths to get to the other side.
Beomgyu knew how people worked and made sure that it worked in his favor ...except when it came to Choi Yeonjun.
The first time Beomgyu had met the man was on an assignment. It was so many years back that most of the details started to blur, except for the way that Yeonjun's lips felt against his.
The original mark's name was Dolos Apate — a pseudonym derived from the Greek Daemon of Trickery and the personification of deceit. Men in low statuses often tried to compensate. In Dolos' case, he tried his best to do the worst; this man's crimes ran the gamut — drugs, human trafficking, weapons trafficking, counterfeiting, everything that this man could have done, he did. Despite being a man of infamy in the underground world, Dolos was sloppy. Especially when it comes to men as beautiful as Choi Beomgyu.
Beomgyu knew how to use his gifts in his favor (the amount of free drinks he'd received in the bar was evidence enough, a stranger at the end of the bar had been Beomgyu's patron saint of free drinks, after all) — with a single glance at Dolos, Beomgyu gave him a coy, beckoning smile with enough innocence to tempt anyone to him. Dolos didn't stand a chance.
One drink — Beomgyu made small talk, easy conversation. Every so often, he would throw in a gentle touch on the man's hand, a shy smile to emphasize his point.
