Shai: After moving to Mistwood in sixth grade, the Plastics have made her life living hell. She's already been pushed to bulemia, she's an outcast, and she's fighting with her parents constantly. She's ready to go, and Death is ready to greet her like an old friend.

Grimm: Getting sick and tired of having to answer to his older broters, Hades and Welkin. As if delivering souls to them wasn't hard enough, Grimm is the youngest of the Grimm brothers. Welkin is the oldest, Hades was the dreaded middle child, and Death (who prefers to be called Grimm) is the youngest. With both parents gone, Grimm is good and ready to give up being soul ferryman to the Limbo, or the "inbetween", and having to decide where souls went after they got there. That is, until he meets her.

Welkin: Oldest of the Grimm brothers and keeper of Heaven, Welkin is the most mature and most responsible out of the three. He's the one that keeps the peace between Hades and Grimm...until she stepped into the picture.

Hades: Middle child and keeper of Hell, or the "Underworld", Hades is having to keep earplugs in to tune out the Souls' and Persephone's whining. He's ready for a new wife...but who?
