Lesson number one about survival on Tatooine: when you see a sandstorm the last thing you want to do is run the other way; look I was 10 years old and never saw a sandstorm; trust me, if I hadn't run now I wouldn't be here.

I started to run to the other side, but there was nothing I could do, the storm was getting closer and closer; I felt my strength leaving me and my legs starting to give out.I saw some sort of floating motorcycle a few meters away that looked like a valid transport, at least I hoped it still worked, one mistake on my part and my chances of survival would drop dramatically.I jumped on the bike and it took off very fast; the sharp wind was coming right at my face and the sand was getting in my eyes, the hot air was drying my lungs and the sun was burning my skin. For a short time, I was able to admire the view around, in addition to the devastation and the desert there were mountains of rotting sand that looked almost purple, sometimes you could see smaller towns but obviously, no one was outside.I turned to see how distant from the storm I was; it was farther away but still, a constant danger approaching, by now the bike had almost run out of fuel and tiredness was setting in.

I saw a cavity in the rocks and since it was getting dark, I decided to reach it and spend the night inside.

Even though the heat was suffocating, chills ran down my spine and my heart began to beat faster. Fortunately, I had spent my whole life hiding and running, so I had all the right things to survive. Not knowing where I was going to land, I brought a little bit of everything, including some sort of a small stove that I used to make light since the sun was going down fast. I stole some food from the ship that I was happy to eat once my temporary night situation was settled. My skin was burnt by the sun and my eyes were irritated by the sand; it wasn't long before I fell asleep in that freezing cave in the desert.I woke up to a ray of sunlight coming through a crack in the rocks; my body ached all over and my eyes were burning.I set up the cave and gathered my things, once outside the sunlight was blinding but I got used to it in a short time. I decided that returning to the city was a suicide without food or water so I would continue to walk until I found, with a little luck, someone willing to host me.

I was walking under the burning sun for about an hour when I heard voices coming from above, I did not have time to check that I felt a stabbing pain in my right leg, I managed to look at the wound, which probably was caused by a bullet, I tried to get up and run but after turning I heard another shot behind me, unbearable pain in my chest, my vision became blurry and I lost consciousness.
