*Anastasia's POV*

"Are you sure you want to do this, sweetheart?" I asked the same question that I had been asking ever since she had brought up the idea of working at some firm other than Ethan's corporation.

"Yes." She had the same reply. Sitting on the dining table, munching on her pancakes, she sent me another re-assuring look, making me sigh.

"You can still have excellent opportunities to learn and add to your experience, working at your father's company, Mihrimah." Wasn't the first time I had said that either.

"Mom, we've talked about this before. I don't want to receive any special treatment just because I'm THE Ethan Woods' daughter. I want to work and excel on the basis of my own hard work and qualifications. I want to have experience of working somewhere my parents don't own.... Besides, you know I've always been in awe of the work done at Colton Enterprises."

I sighed once more. "I know, I know. I thought I'd make sure one last time. Your father really wanted you to co-own AB Enterprises with him, because you have the skills and mind to do so."

"Dad also allowed me to do as my heart pleases." She gave me a cheery smile, spontaneously making me smile as well.

"Okay, sweetheart. If this is what you wanna do, I won't hold you back anymore. All the best for your interview, and remember you're smart, you're precious, you're capable; don't let anyone talk down to you."

She stood up from her chair, kissing my cheek. "I'll keep your words in mind, mom. Don't worry about me at all."

"Take care and text me letting me know how it went, okay?"

"Of course, mom. You and dad will be the first ones to know... Also, mom?"

"Yes, love?"

"Can you please pray for me? Colton Enterprises is a really reputed firm, it'd be a dream come true to be able to work there." She said and I smiled.

"You're always in my prayers, Mihrimah. If it's meant for you, you'll surely get it." I replied, stroking her beautiful light brown hair gently.

She gave me a big smile. "Thanks, mom. What time will you be home today?"

"I might be late. I have a couple surgeries scheduled today and lots of appointments." I responded.

"Okay, have a good time saving lives!" She said cheerfully, kissing my cheek and I giggled.

"Be careful, Mihrimah."

"I will, mom. Bye!"

I watched her beautiful retreating figure as she left through the door and sighed quietly to myself, wishing the best for my daughter.

*Mihrimah's POV*

I sat in the backseat of one of my dad's cars as the chauffeur drove to the grand building of Colton Enterprises. I could feel my heart nervously palpitating in my chest. Even though I was privileged to be the daughter of one of the most successful businessmen and could work at his company, sitting in the boss chair and enjoying telling people what to do, I preferred facing challenges, having different experiences and working my way to the top, not have the power and success presented to me in a golden plate just because I was lucky enough to be born to a billionaire.
