- POV Harry -
I felt my self slowly slipping back into consciousness and I opened my eyes. I looked around and immediately got blinded by the lights. 'Where am I?' I wondered. Pretty soon though, I realised I was in a hospital. A tall woman walked in and she didn't seem particularly nice. "I'm Doctor Trunchbull" she said, looking very stern.
"Why'd I faint?" I asked the intimidating woman. "Oh, you were probably just dehydrated. Now go home, I'm too busy for non emergencies". "Wait, shouldn't you examine me first before making a diagnosis?". "Who's the doctor here? I am, not you! You don't have any say in this at all!" she shouts at me. "Well, you do realise it's my health we're talking about here!" I snap back. "Shut up and leave!" she says before pushing me along and shoving me out the hospital.
As I leave, she gives me a smack to the face. "Now go, you piece of garbage" she tells me, after which she walks away arrogantly. "What the fuck just happened" I mumbled. I walked down the street and turned the corner, starting to feel very lightheaded. I lean against a building and try taking deep breaths. After a while, I feel a bit better and I continue walking.
About 5 minutes later, the lightheadedness comes back, a wave of dizziness hitting me also. "Shit, shit, shit!" I say as black dots start filling my vision and eventually, I stand still with my hands pressed against my head, feeling myself falling to the ground, letting the blackness overtake me.
- POV Louis -
I'm walking towards the hospital, ready to start my night-shift, when I see someone standing on the sidewalk, hands pressed firmly to his head. I walk over to him, intending to ask him if he's okay, when I see him falling to the ground. I run to try and help him and just before his head hits the concrete, I manage to catch him. I crouch down next to him and check his pulse, which luckily is still there, but it's a bit too slow for my liking, telling me the man fainted.
I lift him up and carry him to the hospital, which is luckily only a couple blocks away, asking our secretary to assign him a room. When she did that, a nurse came running up to us with a gurney. I thank her before placing this boy's limp body on the gurney, speeding towards the elevator. I press the button for the third floor and I feel the elevator starting to move.
Once we reach the right floor, I get to the assigned room and place him over in hospital bed. I stare at the gorgeous man in front of me for a second before I close the door and attach the man to a monitor. The steadying beeping fills the room and I sigh in relief when the monitor doesn't show anything too concerning, only his, as I had noticed earlier, quite slow heart rate.
I open my doctor kit and pull out the thermometer, finding that his temperature is normal. Next, I pull out a pulse oximeter and notice that his oxygen levels are a bit low, which is quite common with fainting, so I put an oxygen mask on him. Then, I get my light and lift his eyelids, shining the light in his eyes. His pupils dilate immediately, which means my quick reaction prevented a concussion, which makes me glad I reacted as accurately as I did.
I turn my light off and get my stethoscope, placing the bell on his upper chest, over his heart. His heartbeat was slow but steady and I smiled, knowing the boy I was already getting attached to, was going to be okay. His curly, brown, long hair, his tanned skin: he was beyond gorgeous. I also noticed he was pretty tall, as it was quite hard for me to carry him, even though I work-out a lot.
Suddenly, the beeping on the monitor got faster, meaning his heart rate was speeding up. A minute later, he wakes up and I'm looking into the most gorgeous eyes I've ever seen. They were a beautiful shade of green, but when his eyes landed on me, he freaked out. "Hey, hey, hey, you're alright. What's wrong?" I asked him carefully.
