Kirishima sighed as he stepped on the ring, the crowd cheering. He loved the feeling of people cheering for him.
The opponent stepped up onto the ring, and Kirishima felt small compared to his opponent. His opponent had reddish-orange hair with yellow eyes.
The bell rang signaling the start of the match. Kirishima watched his opponent's movements. His opponent charged at him and he dodged. He went in for a punch and hit the back of his opponent's head.
This didn't seem to affect his opponent at all, it just seemed to make him angry. He charged at Kirishima again, Kirishima was unable to dodge this time.
He was pinned to the ground and punched over and over. Kirishima managed to push him off but he was getting dizzy. He had to finish this soon.
He stumbled up and ran at his opponent, punching him in the gut repeatedly. When his opponent was down, he pinned him and the referee got down and tapped three times, ending the match.
The referee held Kirishima's hand up before Kirishima blacked out.
.
Kirishima woke up in the hospital with a groan. A nurse came in, "good. You're awake. There were only minor bruising and a concussion. We'll check you out here soon now that you're awake to see if we missed anything then later in the day you are free to leave."
Kirishima nodded. "Thank you."
The nurse smiled. "Are you feeling any pain anywhere? If so how much does it hurt?"
"My head and ribs area. My head feels like it's splitting in half, my ribs don't hurt too bad." The nurse nodded.
"That's good as those areas were where the bruising was. I'm just going to do some tests and I want you to tell me if it hurts." The nurse stepped up to Kirishima.
The nurse started lightly poking Kirishima. After a few minutes, she stopped.
"Alright. There doesn't seem to be any pain anywhere else. You should get out around 3:00 p.m. You should also be able to return to your job in about a week." With that said, the nurse left.
After a few minutes, a few people entered the room. "Kirishima Eijiro?"
"That's me."
"I would like to give this to you." The man handed Kirishima a letter. "After your last battle, you have been wanted in the championship in a few months. We look forward to seeing you there."
Kirishima had a smile from ear to ear. "Can't wait!" The man smile and waved before leaving.
Kirishima read the letter, it was just saying what the man just told him with more detail about the exact date and time.
Soon, he was able to leave the hospital with orders to not do anything too crazy so his concussion can heal.
The whole time he was healing, he watched television and did small exercises, even though the doctors told him not to. He would always say he needed to say fit and manly for the championship.
Now it's the time for the championship and Kirishima is more than ready. He was training when the bell rang, signaling the championship is about to start.
Kirishima throw water on himself and drank some. The first match started and Kirishima spent that time gaining energy.
.
He was bowed on the ring and the cheers were heard. Kirishima missed this, the few months of waiting felt like years, but now was his time to shine.
The match started and he took down his opponent, winning. The same thing happened with the rest. He made it to the finals with one other person.
He was excited about the match. So when he stepped into the ring, he was running around a little. But when his opponent came out, he froze.
A blonde with a permanent glare on his face walked out and many cheered. The man walked up to the ring and jumped over it like it was nothing. "What, you got a staring problem?"
Kirishima blushed and looked away, missing the smirk the blonde gave him. He heard the count down so he got ready.
Once the bell rang, he charged at the blonde. The blonde countered him by holding him on the shoulders. They held each other until the blonde threw him to the ground, knocking the wind out of him.
The blonde pinned him down, smirking in his face. Kirishima wrapped his legs around the blonde's waist and flipped them. He quickly got up and to the other side of the ring.
The blonde stood up and popped his back with a sigh and licked his lips. He turn the chance when he saw Kirishima was distracted and charged at him.
Kirishima dodged at the last second. He quickly shook his head to focus and ran back at the blonde.
They were close with strength however, the blonde was a little stronger and forced Kirishima down on his stomach. He grabbed Kirishima's arms and pinned them behind his back.
When Kirishima tried to escape, the blonde put pressure on his arms making Kirishima hiss. The referee counted down to three and the match ended.
The blonde got off Kirishima and Kirishima relaxed his arms. After a few moments, Kirishima got up.
He turned to the blonde and smiled. "Nice match. That was fun. By the way, I missed what your name was. May I know it?"
The blonde cocked his eyebrow. "Bakugo."
Kirishima beamed. The announcements went off and they left to the backstage area.
"Good work everyone. Tomorrow is when we will give everyone their rewards. Get some rest."
Kirishima started to get his stuff when Bakugo walked up to him. "So, got anything planned for this weekend?"
Kirishima looked at him. "Not really. I was just planning on relaxing. Why?"
Bakugo smirked and leaned in. "Would you like to go on a date with me then? Let's say, Saturday? 8:00?"
Kirishima turned red. "I-i would love to."
"Good, here's my number. Text me your address and I'll pick you up. Later, Red."
