the secret comes undone

You and Camilo did a pretty great job at hiding your relationship...

For about a month.

Not because of you but because of the chameleon boy himself.

Ok ok, it was his idea to keep it a secret for a while because his family could be too nosy at times, but the boy wouldn't stop talking about you or asking Abuela if he could invite you for dinner, or his mama if he could hang out with you, or if you guys could have sleepovers and you get the drill.

It wasn't hard for the rest of the Madrigals to catch on, but they were trying to encourage the two of you to tell them themselves and not force you guys to assume anything.

But one day when he called you over for dinner it all came undone.

-Camilo, your partner is here! - Isabela screams getting revenge on her primo for previous jokes.

-Just stop it, Isa- Julieta says from the kitchen while a very red boy gets to the door.

- they aren't my partner Isa- she lets a small laugh before going

-if you say so- she walks away leaving the boy and you alone

-hello- he says close to you, he looks around to see if anyone is near and leaves a small kiss on your lips.

-well hello there - you respond while he gabs your hand

-Vamos - he guides you inside the house to the dinner table where everyone is already seated.

You greet the rest of the Madrigals and seat next to Camilo, everything is going fine, everyone is talking and eating when Antonio says.

-Camilo, when are you going to tell us that (Y/N) is part of the family?

Everyone stops, Camilo gags on his food, and you are fast to help him.

-Tonito you weren't supposed to say that - Pepa repress her youngest son

-yeah, you had to wait until they told us themselves - Dolores chimes in while Camilo just looks at them chocked.

- wait, wait, wait, you guys knew? - Camilo asks and everyone looks at him

- yeaaaah..... We were kinda there when it happened - Mirabel says

- and you are not so subtle about it mi Hijo - Félix completes Mirabel phrase.

- Maldita sea, so I was trying to be subtle for nothing?

-well if by subtle you mean kissing them right in front of everyone, then you have been doing a pretty bad job, Primo - Isabela says

-Mierda

-CAMILO, LANGUAGE!- Pepa says

- sorry mama- he looks at you still shocked and you start laughing your ass off -even you?! - he exclaims

-I'm sorry - you catch your breath - I'm sorry mi amor, but you were really bad at it

-and why didn't you say anything?! - he looks at you a little frustrated

- you just looked so confident in yourself that I didn't have the balls to tell you - he crosses his arms and looks in front of him in anger, you hug him saying sorry but still laughing while he kept his little act on.

- you were right Doll, they are really cute together -Felix says to his daughter while the family laughs at the small couple's antics.

So I said the next chapter would be a time skip but I had this little idea before the time skip so have it :)

Idk if you guys catch on to that but the reader doesn't have a specific gender for anyone to insert themselves, that's why I used they/them and partner for the reader here.

Again English is not my first language and I just have Grammarly to help me, so bear with me.

Next chapter I promise it will be a time skip
