The Past Comes Back

coming back (part 1)

The next time I regained consciousness it was hard to breathe and if I even made the slightest movement it would hurt like hell. My throat was itchy and dry in need of some liquid relief. As my body fought the urge to give into the darkness I did not have the strenght to keep fighting it and slowly gave in slipping into oblivion and unconciousness again

I came back around to the sounds of whispers and voices, then silence. I heard a door softly close and then footsteps coming towards me.

I tried cracking my eyes open and when the bright light blinded my sensitive eyes my hand immidiately shot out to shield my eyes causing a wave of pain to wash over me and I let out a loud groan.

I must've caught the persons attention because in less then a second someones body was smothered up against mine in a tight hug with them whispering sweet murmurs in my ear that everything was going to be okay.

After they pulled away I saw the beautiful eyes of Logan staring back at me with raw emotion as he cupped my cheeks and began plastering soft kisses all over my face and finally my lips were captured in a soft gentle kiss, by now Logan was cradling my sore body. I managed to hint to the pitch if water on a side table and Logan just smiled and poured me a cup. He watched me amused when I downed the full cup in a swift mouthful.

After I recovered from Logan's hug I took in and looked around my surroundings and realised that I was in a cozy hospital room.  There was a light blue couch to my right against the wall and a green and white chair next to my bed. Sitting to my left was a chair identical to the one on the right and there was a bathroom in the corner. Where the wall supposed to be wad a large floor length window overlooking our town.

"What HAPPENED to me? I asked Logan who was just watching me waiting for my reaction.

He moved closer and held my hands " baby you dont remember?"

I shook my head and sighed closing my eyes trying to ward off the headache I was beginning to feel. When I opened my eyes I seen that Logan's eyes were looking at me intently and he held me tighter.

"I almost lost you" his voice was hoarse with emotion and he put his head in the crook of my neck.

"WHAT? ....Logan please tell me how.  " I whispered frightened. After a few minutes he finally spoke up.

"Well after the party you were pretty much out of it and so was drake so I was the only one sober enough to drive us home." He paused for a few seconds " we were passing a lake about half an hour from your house and Drake dared you to go jump off the deck into the lake it was pretty dark out and you threatend me to jump out of the car if I didnt stop it. After you got out you made a break for it and the deck was a good 30 feet out in the water." His hold on me tightend as he continued "after you jumped in you weren't coming out. It was a good 10 seconds before I jumped in after you." He tensed at his next part " Rose dammit Rose I almost fucking lost you! I couldnt find you in the water and I started to panic and when I couldnt find you, fear got the best of me I even went to the bottom of the lake wich is a good 15 feet deep and guess what I found? You want to know what I felt? I felt your body at the bottom of the lake. Do you know what was running through my mind at that time. When I had only got you back I had already lost you and this time for good."

By this time I was crying and as the first sob escaped my lips I pressed the back of my hand to my mouth and I just turned around and  threw my arms around Logan and cried into his chest. After a while he continued.

" when we got you out I coudnt hear your breathing and I couldnt feel your pulse" my face visibly paled and my blood ran cold.

"When the ambulance arrived they gave you CPR and when you wouldn't respond I.. I jsust... broke down!do you now how much I cried? I cried for half an hour straight while they were doing everything they could to save you baby.  When a paramedic with a sympathetic face cane walking to me I let a scream out and fell to the ground it had felt so horrible I thought that someone ripped my heart out." His voice broke at the last part .

." I just did not want to accept it. When the paramedic was cosoling me you started coughing up water and they immediately rushed you to the hospital.  Baby I was terrified never  in my life have I been so frightened about losing somebody. You have been unconscious for about three days. " I looked  and saw a fresh trail of tears rushing down his face. To see a man cry is the most beautiful thing, it shows they are human and have true feelings.

I cupped his face kissing his tears and hugged his head to my chest. And as soon as his face hit my chest a sob tore out of him and he hugged me closer like he was clutching to the last thing that kept his sanity in check.

"Im here now I promise you I wont leave you I'm right here. Wherever you go I will always go. "

"Same here"

We stayed like that until his breathing slowed and I looked down at him sleeping and I slid down so now my head was resting on his chest and his head was on the pillow all while  that moment his arms never loosened around me.

Next time I woke up was to the sound of clap of thunder and I jumped up and groaned as a strong arm held me down successfully making me hurt myself. Logan was sound asleep and through the blinds of the window I could see a terrible looking storm brewing outside. The clouds were a dark gray almost black and there was bright thick lightning piercing through the sky and making the ground rumble.

Oh. No. Please.  No.

I began to shake while the thundering surrounded me. I tried to get as far way from the window as possible and I felt tears begin to form in my eyes. A loud bright lightning struck the building and the lights were out. Another lightning struck and then silence. Suddenly I felt the ground trembeling underneath me as the bed rattled against the floor. I was still sitting uo and I put my hands over my ears and brought my knees uo to my chest. I squeezed my eyes shut not wanting to relive the haunting moment. I could see the bright light of lightning through my eyelids and pushed the memory in the shackles of my soul but it kept fighting to resurface.

"Hey hey hey baby whats wrong?" Logan tore away my hands that were clutching the sided of my head.

As more lightning and thunder followed each other in a more fast pace it became hsrder to breathe. Logans eyes widened before taking out his phone frone one pocket and earbuds out of the other. He proceeded to plug in his earbuds and hand me the phone.

"Here baby calm down I'm right here im not going to let anything happen to you" he put the earbuds in my ears and handed me the phone. I liked his phone it was an IPhone 6 and I still had my IPhone 5c.

"The password ...is your name" I smiled weakly at him though I was still on high alert about the storm. "Go to the music and pick out anysong that you like. And turn the volume all the way up to block out the thunder.  Here switch spots with me." After we switched spots he elaborated " now your back will be to the window and you can't see the storm and hey", he tilted my chin uo and gave me a soft kiss to the lips and then one on my forehead. " Im right here for you". After a while my body relaxed and everything was blocked out by the music.

I reached for my phone on the bedside table which I thankfully left in the car and when I turned on the screen I had 59 missed calls from zedaisha, taylor, sammie, kenna, and alex. 140 messages from them too and then I had a couple messages from Nick. Nick and I used to date back a couple of months ago. When we broke uo we decided to stay friends and over the time we grew close again. I hadnt realised logan was looking over my shoulder at my phone until I heard a low growl coming from my right. He took one earbud out and bit teasingly on my earlobe and whispered "mine"  in my ear.  I laughed and went to put my phone back on the table and turned and snuggled deeper into Logan's chest.  I drifted off listening to " My immortals" by Evanescence with the storm long forgotten about as I had my umbrella against it right next to me with his arms securely around me. And boy did it feeel goood.
