Chapter 5

Sunday 8:00 am

Mariah's POV

I woke up and thought of old memories. I've been taking my meds so I'm okay. I'm jus thinking that's all. I started thinking about my mom.. I miss her. Even though we would always argue and disagree on so much I still loved her and she's still my mom. I strongly disliked her one time at one point in life. She use to be so selfish, never cared about my feelings. Never was there for me mentally. I always felt like she didn't like me. Never took me seriously when I expressed my emotions to her. I try not to think much of it anymore cause she's gone and I want her to rest in peace. Plus I'm too grown to think about the old shit. I got over all that at one point in life and became close with her. Doesn't mean I never stop thinking about those days when I felt the most alone tho.

I got in the shower and once I got out I found me something basic but cute to wear. Me and Kaniyah are going out to get breakfast. Veah has been in MIA which is not weird at all. She always do this, she'll pop back up in 3 days. I threw me on some jean shorts making my ass look extra big. Along with a white basic t shirt. I slipped me on my Dior slides. I had did me 2 braids and left my edges out and did them. Once I got done with everything with that and everything else I went outside. Kaniyah was in the car and I hopped in. She was driving Nasen car. We drove off and went to Breakfast At Barney's. Once we arrived at Barney's (the restaurant) we got out and went inside.

"How many?" A girl said.

"Just us 2." I said.

"Okay, right this way please." She said and led us to our table.

"Do you ladies know what you want to drink?" She asked.

"A water for me." I said.

"Orange juice" Kaniyah said.

"Okay I'll be back with your drinks." She said and walked off.

"You feeling okay boo?" Kaniyah asked.

"Yes, just been thinking about my mom a lot lately." I said.

"Well you know I'm here, always." Kaniyah said.

"I love you." I said smiling.

She blew a kiss and whispered "more". She so extra I swear.

"Girl I need to catch you up." I said.

"Here are y'all drinks. Are you guys ready to order?" The waitress asked.

"No, can you give us about 10 minutes?" Kaniyah asked.

"Of course." She said and walked away.

"Sooo what's tea?" Kaniyah said sipping her orange juice.

"Okay so.. me and Derrick.. like we.." I said.

"Y'all whattt?" She asked with her eyes wide open.

"We.. fucked!" I said.

"You lying." She said putting her cup down.

"I'm so serious. It was raw too." I said.

"Raw as in the sex was good or raw as in no condom?" Kaniyah said.

"Raw as in both of what you jus said." I said giggling.

"Oh my goodness, when did this happen?" She asked.

"Couple days ago." I said sipping my water.

"Bitch you jus now telling me." She said.

"I know girl, I jus couldn't even believe I did it myself." I said.
