I layed back into the beach chair that had been layed out for guest. I watched a group of people my age aimlessly hit a volleyball back and forth over the net. Girls' wearing shorts and bikini tops while guys had on swimming trunks. I upted myself from the chair and walked over to the cooler. A group of my friends were set around the fire on logs. Carly was curled up into a blanket leaned against Zack. It seemed to be the cutest scene possible for me. I playfully waved at the group before opening the bottle of water I know held in my hand.
"Hey Erin come here!" One of my friends Tristin yelled. Summer had just started three days ago and with our twelve year coming up we had a lot to look forward to. I gracefully let my long tanned legs carry to over to my British pals. I am American, by the way.
"Hey guys what's up," I plopped down on the free space next to Molly. They all eyed me skeptically before Matt spoke up.
"Did you hear Zayn Malik is here?" His flamboyent voice spoke. He was obviously gay and anyone could guess that. I rolled my eyes at the thought.
The rumors I'd heard about Zayn always seemed to pop out at every opertunity. He was a bad boy that everyone feared. He had a mysterious look to him that caused people to run off when he was around. He's nineteen and this year what his first year out of school. I'd seen him around but nowhere that would dismay his badboy rumors. It's true I definitly feared him with my life, but I hadn't come in contact with him yet, so I was safe.
"You guys are obsessed, I'm going to go now," I rolled my eyes again before dismissing myself. My group what the 'popular but not overly popular' group. We had been obsessed over and we did the obsessing. I was tagged on my obvious innocence to being the good girl. No one expected me to do any harm.
As my bare feet kicked carelessly at the wet sand under my stance the waves hit me gently. I suddenly felt a presense next to me. It turned my head slightly to see Jacob, school 'it' boy. I smiled to him and he returned the gesture. His blonde hair was swooped almost perfectly down his forehead and his blue eyes lit up unwillingly. He opened his mouth to speak to me but something stopped him. He caught to view of something behind me before waving himself off. I turned almost terrified to see what was behind me.
The tall lean figure was almost invisable in the moonlight. His leather jacket hugged tightly at his prominant muscles. He had his black hair up in a familar quiff. His black jeans looked like his legs were screaming to breathe. I begged myself to breathe. To look away from him. His deep choclate brown eyes came into contact with my blue ones. The olive skin on his face becme very visable as he stepped closer. I wanted to walk away from him. My legs stayed glued to the sand though. Why?
"Hello," His voice came out slow. It was deeper then I thought it would be. He looked mysterious but also had innocence plastered onto him. His badboy image flashed through my brain. All the girls in the hallways that gushed over how good in bed he was rang in my ears. He stepped closer again. This time I did step back. My legs felt overly heavy though. My thin arms reached for my back pockets checking for my phone. Still there.
"Aren't you going to speak?" His voice was still dark. It showed a bit of anger though. It reminded me of the rumor I heard just weeks ago of the girl who was beat by her boyfriend, Zayn Malik. I breathed in a shaky breath cursing myself for being scared. He took yet another step toward me. I gasped when I felt his hands snake around my thin waist. His thumbs brushing against the slightly exposed skin from my tied shirt.
Zayn moved my black hair to one side of my shoulder making all my forced waved fall to the bottom of my rib cage. I stiffened under his gentle touch. I didn't want him to hurt me. I felt all my friends staring at me from the fire but I chose to ignore it as I felt Zayn's scorching hot lips touch just below my ear before whispering to me.
