minho walked off the school grounds fearfully, trying not to attract any attention. usually he would do this after school but today the guy said he wasn't available later so he found himself obliged to meet him during the break.

he went over to the corner of the darkest side street and was met with the boy who had a big smile on his face.

"hey," minho greeted and pulled his wallet out.

"sup, dude? that's gonna be 130 000 today," seungmin, the name minho was identifying that face to, returned and whipped a brown package out of his backpack.

minho took out a couple of banknotes and counted them calmly, then handed them to the other boy, who looked about his age.

"it's nice doing business with you," seungmin smiled and turned to go when another person came out from behind the corner, "yo, han," he greeted as he was closing the bag, "need something?"

minho froze. he didn't recognise the guy at first but now that seungmin mentioned it, he had seen him in class. he decided not to move and prayed that the boy wouldn't notice him.

"yeah, you got some of my stuff?," han, whose first name minho couldn't recall, asked nonchalantly.

"no, i'm out," seungmin shrugged, "i would've saved you some but i didn't know you were coming."

"sorry, i just saw you passing by and thought i'd show up and try my luck. i see you got a new guest though, huh? what is beauty doing here with the beast?," han questioned, getting out a lighter and a cigarette and lighting it, "no offense, minnie," he turned to seungmin with a grin.

"ha, none taken. he made a purchase."

"oh really? pretty boy got taste then," han licked his lips and minho involuntarily gulped, showing his panic, "what did you buy? coke? maybe amphetamines? you look like an ecstasy kind of guy," he commented and measured the other from bottom to top as he predatorily scooted closer.

"he bought your stuff. my last stock," seungmin explained, then put the backpack on his shoulder, "imma take my leave. maybe you two can share," and thus he was gone before the two could say anything else.

minho bit his lip, once again hoping that the guy would just leave and pretend nothing happened but he turned to him and started speaking.

"so. golden boy is buying weed in the breaks. that's new," han exclaimed as he let out a puff. he looked kind of scary with his teasing eyes and rolled up white shirt sleeves, and the smirk at the end of his sentences, when he saw minho panic.

it was a cycle, minho panicked, han smirked, minho panicked more. the smoker seemed to enjoy it.

"talk to me," han urged maliciously, "it's not like you have anything better to do. well, you probably do, since you have weed," he shrugged, "i don't. so you might as well entertain me instead," he stated in a sharp voice.

minho tried to speak but needed to take a deep breath before starting to stutter, "y-you can have it-"

"oh no, lee minho, keep it," the boy returned. so he knew who he was. shit, "you can treat me to a cigarette though. i'd enjoy having one with you," he raised a brow and smirked again.

minho couldn't respond because he was, in all honesty, afraid. not of the boy himself but of how he might use the newly acquired information.

"come," han smiled and put out his cigarette on the side of a dumpster, "lunch break is long," he signalled to a small staircase next to a back door. minho wasn't used to such lowlife places but he followed him without making a sound.

they sat down and minho immediately took the weed out of his bag and handed it to han. he smiled and opened the package, taking a small amount of the substance and a little paper from the pocket of his bag and rolled a cigarette that he licked and swiftly closed.

"unbelievable," he finally exclaimed and took his lighter out again, "you, preppy assholes are such hypocrites, aren't you?," he took a tug spitefully, "you dare call me names, act like i'm some disgusting sediment, and then you go out of school and buy fucking drugs under my nose, while acting all omnipotent and regal? ridiculous," he let out a mocking laugh.

minho was frozen again and tried not to look at his interlocutor. he knew the boy was being bullied, and that it was probably unjust, but he didn't think he'd ever get to be his punching bag.

"you can talk, you know? though i don't know if i want to hear it," han laughed and smoked his cigarette casually, "the school's pride. dancing gem. the perfect good-for-all student. buying goddamn drugs. ah, what a clownery!"

minho bit his lip and lowered his eyes even more. he wasn't feeling ashamed until now because nobody knew about his habit. but as he heard it put that way, he couldn't help but feel guilty and dirty.

"tell me, baby, what's wrong?," han gently asked. it almost sounded relaxing though they both knew he was mocking the other, "did you get all shy? ha, i didn't think one could become mute so fast. you're not even stoned yet, are you?"

minho shook his head no.

"your friends don't know, do they?," minho shook his head again. han smirked. maybe he shouldn't have revealed that. oh well, "ah, so you get high on your own and hide it from them? you're such an actor, golden boy," he exclaimed in a high and ridiculing voice.

"can you keep that-," minho slowly started but immediately got interrupted.

"a secret? of course, dear," han returned with sardonic cordiality, "but i'm going to ask something of you," he countered and added when he saw the other's fearful expression, "don't worry, it won't be your firstborn."

"uh.. i can give you the weed," minho offered again, quietly.

"oh, no, sweetheart, you don't need to. this cigarette is more than enough," the boy replied with a smile and twirled the joint between his fingers.

"i could buy you something el-"

"if i wanted to get money i'd just find someone who hooked up with the teacher and blackmail them," han interrupted with a malicious chuckle, "i'm sure there's plenty of sinners in this school who would be more than happy to pay to have their secrets safe.."

minho's brows lifted and he got a look of distress on his face again. the other licked his lips and turned away.

"okay, truth is, i can't think of anything i'd like to get from you," han confessed and stroked his chin, "you know, i'm still in shock that you and i have so much in common," he laughed contemptuously and added, "but i'll find something you can help me with, don't worry. i won't spill anything before giving you a chance to be useful, right?," he asked again, almost soothingly and minho nodded involuntarily.

han put out the cigarette and took up his bag to put it on his shoulder, "you can go now. i'll tell you what i want once i figure it out," he instructed with a chuckle but minho didn't move, "get up now, pretty boy, you can't be late to class," he urged and started going as the bell was heard.
