Chapter 9

Cole grasped my hand tight as we walked over to the person I dreaded most in this world. His parents were on the other side of me and everyone watched us as we walked up to them. I wonder why is it because of me or Cole? I got close to Cole and muttered "Why is everyone watching us?"

"They are curious about the woman who manages to make Cole Wolf settle down." I giggled as I started to blush up a storm. He kissed my hair and muttered to just breathe. I did what he said and did my best to relax.

After a few more steps we got in front of Marcus and his aunt who look a lot older than us. Marcus gave me an evil smile making me grab Cole's hand tight. He pulled me closer to his body to wrap his arm around my lower back. I did the same as he said "Congratulations on the engagement aunt Hannah I am happy for you."

Cole reluctantly let me go to hug her as she said "Thank you." She pulled away to look at him "You look handsome like always." Cole said thank you and quickly came back over to me to pull me to him. I can't relax at all I thought as his aunt glared at me to say "So you are the woman who has caught my nephews' eyes."

"I guess so" I muttered making Cole chuckle. I slapped his chest and glared at him because my shyness is not funny. He took my hand in his and kissed my palm. A deep red blush hit my cheeks as Chase said "Congratulation sister but why am I just finding out about the man."

"You Wolf, men are too control that is why? This poor girl must be suffocating." Wait, is she talking about me? I like the way Cole is personally. It makes me feel safe. "No, I like the way Cole treats me. He treats me like..mmm...a princess."

"That is because you are my princess" Cole hummed as he put his fingers under my chin. He had me look up at him as I held my innocent I did nothing look. I didn't do anything but I like the look. Cole smile as he leaned down and kissed me with love. His father groaned "God I hate when your mother gave me that look." We both look at him and we all laughed.

Lucia rested on Chase's chest to hum "You mean when I give you that look, my love." She had a similar look I had making him grumble "Yes my dear wife because I can never tell you no."

"That is the point," we both said in unison. We all started to laugh again as the two men just shook their heads no. I peck Cole's lips as his aunt said "Well as long as my nephew is happy so am I suppose." We both looked at her and her looks said the opposite. You could tell she hated me and the idea of us together, What did I do to her? Why is it people, I do not know, hate my guts?

Ada ran over and hugged her aunt to say "I am so happy for you aunt Hannah."

"Thank you, dear...Why don't we all go sit down and catch up it has been months since we talked."

"For a good reason," Cole whispered as we followed them to a table. I covered my mouth to hide my laugh. Cole kissed my hair and slapped my butt. I grabbed my butt as I glared at a smiling Cole. Ugh, men.

Once at the table, we all sat down at a round table. I was next to Cole and Lucia while Ada sat across from us with Hannah and Marcus. He keep looking at me but I ignored it held Cole's hand tight. He was rubbing the back of my hand as he asked "How have you been aunt Hannah?"

"Fantastic now that we have got the charges against my love dropped." WHAT?! How did she even manage that? Chase groaned the minute she said that meaning he helped. He had to have helped. I grasped Cole's hand tighter as I tried to calm my breathing. Marcus has a cocky smile on his face as Cole brought his hand to kiss my palm. My eyes went to him as he muttered "Breath Stella you are giving him what he wants." Lucia grabbed my other hand and leaned into my ear to say "He is right dear he won't touch you...*louder*...I will deal with my husband later."
