Havers' Backstory

Just before we start Havers and Captain are in a relationship already :)

(PAST TENSE) 12-15

It was an ordinary school day for Havers, He has followed the same schedule as he always did.
School, walk home, sit in his room, sleep. When he arrived home he saw the usual sighting, Just as he had expected his mother was laid on the sofa asleep holding an empty vodka bottle in her hand. The floor was covered in empty cans of beer, and wine bottles were scattered everywhere.
Havers' father was laid on the floor across the now soggy rug, and the TV was playing some very up-beat music, the same music he would hear late at night as he would try to sleep.He didn't stay downstairs for long as he was used to seeing this. He ran upstairs into his room where he threw his bag down, almost hitting his little toy soldiers he had placed on his bedside which he was playing with before he had fallen asleep that night. He went over and sat on the edge of his bed where he began to cry, remembering what the kids at school had said to him.
After letting his feelings out he tried to be strong and from now he had made a promise to himself that he would not let go of his dreams just because some kid at school said he would never make it to be a soldier. Havers believed that if he worked hard enough that anything was possible even him becoming a soldier.

(PRESENT TENSE)

After a long day working with his beloved, Havers started to pack up to get ready to head home. Before leaving his work space, Havers checked the military themed calendar (that Captain had gifted him) when he stood in shock. He began to panic, today was the day he had agreed to take Captain to visit his family.
Captain agreed to take him to visit his family tomorrow but Havers was first. Havers started to worry as he gathered all his stuff and paced back and forth in his office.

"I'll just go home first and tidy up!" Havers muttered to himself knowing his parents wouldn't be able to take in what happens.

When Havers arrived home, Just as he thought his parents were yet again hung-over. He tried waking them up but it was no use. It didn't work. Instead he went into the kitchen and grabbed some black bags which he used to pick up all the alcohol bottles. However when he was about half way through cleaning all the bottles there was a knock at the door... Havers panicked, Was Captain here already? What was he supposed to say? Would he hate him for this?

Havers went to answer the door taking a very large deep breathe before-hand. There he stood in front of him. His beloved.

"Oh Hi Sir!" Havers said as his voice trembled.

"Hey Havers! I hope you didn't forget I was coming" Captain chuckled.

"Of course I didn't, I just thought you would be a little later but nonetheless come in!" Havers replied instantly.

Havers begins to shake with fear knowing that the first time his lover would ever meet his parents was while they were hung-over. Havers and Captain approached the living room just as Havers quickly said,

"Okay so before you see my parents, I'm sorry I didn't want it to be like this."

Captain nodded confusedly still following his love through the house. Then the moment he was dreading came. He slowly opened the door looking back and Cap as he did it. Captain began to get ready to say hello just as he took in what was in front of him.

"Havers? What's going on? Are they okay?" Captain said, He was terrified of what he saw.

"Look i'm sorry, I never wanted you to meet my parents like this, this is the reason i held it off for so long." Havers replied as a tear slowly fell down his face.

Captain inched closer, hugging Havers from behind.

"It's quite alright, Don't worry about it!" Captain reassured Havers while whipping the tears from his beloved's face.

But this just made Havers burst into tears in Caps arms. Captain held his beloved tighter making sure he felt as much love as he could.

"I feel so bad for you, your family must be awful, you deserve so much better than this" Captain said as he slowly lifted Havers' head.

"Well thank you but unfortunately it's not like i can have a new family" Havers replied.

"How about you come live with me? After all you can't stay here, it's horrible." Captain said very energetically.

"Are you sure? I promise I'll be just fine here" Havers muttered as he looked at his surroundings.

"For sure! I'd rather you live with me anyway" Captain smirked as he said this.

"And just maybe you could start a new family with me" Captain added just before kissing his beloved's forehead.

"I'd love that" Havers replied, staring into his partners' eyes.
