~Rebound~

~Chapter 1~

           My name is Elonna Francis McGriff, I'm 13 years old, I'm light skinned with mid length curly black hair, I go to SJS school, and I have 3 really good friends. My object to my last year at this school is to get by with out being noticed, which really isn't going so well...

December 14th, 2021 

6:45 am

                    I walked out of my house into the brisk cold air with my hands on my backpack arms and my Shoes laced tight.  
"Have a good day sweetie" My mom says and then closes the door and locks it. I take a deep breath and I start my way to the bus stop, I was thinking about what my friends were saying

  "i so ship you and zimmy"

"You guys are perfect"

"He def likes you"

I gag when I hear his name, John Zimmerman is so gross. I mean, how can anyone date him? He's so repulsive, he is the ugliest guy I've ever seen. Once I got to the bus stop, the only people there was mikey Christopher, Dominic Cafaro, Some random 6th graders, and John Zimmerman. I scoffed in disgust and tried to avoid him by staying 10 feet away from him. 

"Wassup Elonna McRib?" He said with his arms out waiting for me to give him a hug. I try to ignore him but hes so annoying. I looked up at him, the sun beamed off his beautiful brown pools of honey colored eyes. I noticed I was staring and I looked back down and away from him.

"Yo McRib, wanna come over to my McCrib tonight?" He says thinking he's all that.

"I would rather die" I said sounding like a baddie.

"Well at least you'll die in my arms baby girl" He then winked and blew a kiss at me. I bushed a little bit and I- Did I just blush at that? I need to stop, there's no way I just blushed...maybe I'm getting cold or something. Why would I blush at his comment? I mean I obviously don't like him...right? No No No, how could I? He's the most annoying boy in SJS. I sat there contemplating for so long, I didn't even realize the bus was here. I snapped out of it and ran towards the bus, but the bus was already driving off without me.

"STOP THE BUS!" I yelled. I galloped over to the bus with my extra long legs. The bus was 20 feet away already, and I gasp for air. That's it I'll just walk I thought in disapointment. I looked up to see the back of the bus and I peered through the window, only to see John flipping me off. I'm going to kill that kid even if it kills me. It took me 25 minutes longer than it should to get to school today, which is all zimmys fault.

12:02 pm

I sat at lunch staring at the food, it was some hamburger but I have no clue what that was. I turned around and saw Mikey Christopher staring at me. 

"What the..." I started before he put his finger on my lips and He says,

"Shhhh calm down mamasita, John wanted me to give you this"  he handed me a note. I looked  down at the paper and look back up and Mikey mysteriously vanished. I opened the note and it read, "if you were a triangle you would be acute😏 - John z"  I scoffed and shoved the note it my pocket.

"What's that?" Alyssa  asked. I gulped and shook my head,

"Oh nothing..." I said looking down. I continued to eat my lunch and talk with my friends until somebody came over to our table, it was John...

"Hey ladies" he said smirking at me. I blushed and looked away, ew he's so gross.

"What do you want, idiot" I said.

"I was just wondering if you guys wanted to go to my first basketball game this season" he said and winked at me. Before I even answered my idiot friend giada said,

"Sure, elonna would love to"

"Shouldnt his girlfriend be the one at his game and not me?" I ask nina. Nina shrugged and looked back at zimmy. There is no way in hell I'll be going to that idoits basketball game.

"Good, I'll see you fine ladies there" he said and then walked away while tripping on his shoe laces and falling on the floor. He quickly got up and gave elonna finger guns, smiled winked and ran off.
