Fawn froze. What the hell did he just say? She was-was carrying…his child-their child. All thoughts of her sickness went out the door as her small hands came down to cover her still flat stomach, My baby-no, our baby.

She looked back at Cale who at the moment looked like he was going to panic. “Our baby…” was all she had to say for him to sweep her up into his arms and nuzzle her close.

“Yes my little bitch, our pup.” Fawn giggle lightly as his breath tickled her neck; her hands lightly stroking her belly with his larger one settled on the side, “Our pup little one, you will be a mother and a fine one at that!”

Before she could reply the door swung open and a half crazy looking Astrid stumbled into the room. “G-grandmother-grandmother and grandfather are here!” Cale growled lowly in Wolven tongue, telling her to have them distracted while he explained very thing to Fawn. It wouldn’t do to have her punished while his grandparents were walking about the castle.

His sister quickly dipped her head and vanished from the room. “Fawn, I need you to listen to me very carefully right now. My grandparents are visiting and it is not good right now. I want you to never stray from my side and never say anything directly to them, very bad things will happen if you do either and not by my hand.

“I need you to do everything I tell you while they are here, okay? Good, I don’t want you to leave this room unless my father or I is with you; even my mother will not venture out of her room alone while they visit. Understand?” she nodded again and huddled loser to him.

“What’s going on Cale?”

“My grandparents started the whole breeding program and expect it to go they way they want it, however things do not always go as planned. My father and his brother both fell in love with the humans they claimed as their bitches and so have many others.

“But when they come down from Ireland then everyone behaves like they should. One last thing, you can’t call me by my name when we are near them, you will have to address me as Master until they leave.”

Fawn nodded, not to sure she could keep up the act for very long if she was provoked. Still, if The Lone Wolf could do it then so could she! When Cale set her one her feet Zyra and Jace came striding towards them with strained faces and two older looking people.

“Grandmother, grandfather.” Cale bowed at the waist and watched as they nodded their approval before introducing Fawn, “I would like to introduce my new breeding bitch, Fawn.” His grandmother was the first to act, her long fingers tilting Fawn’s face back so she could look at his mark.

“I see she had been pupped quite recently, well done my boy. She will make strong offspring with her Wicca blood.” He could practically hear the question waiting to be brought out but a look from his mother silenced Fawn; they didn’t need any problems.

His grandfather merely looked her over and commented, “She looks quite similar to Elaine back home.”

Cale winced. Elaine was his grandfather’s rut toy. She was the one who had started the whole process of the breeding program. He didn’t need to be a mind reader to know that his grandmother hated the young human with passion. By saying that his grandmother might be more inclined to hurt her.

However he was proved wrong as she simply smacked the back of his head and said, “No, this one is much better looking than that raga-muffin you found in the dirt. I would think she had been brought up in the stables with proper teaching if it were not for Jace’s letter.” She smiled at Fawn and dipped her head, “I am sorry about that, will you accompany me and Zyra to afternoon tea? I am dying to meet you properly.”

Fawn nodded her acceptance as Zyra ever so slightly nodded herself. Before being dragged off by the Ireland Queen she sent a silent prayer up to the Solar god, Please let me live through all this!

Off to go enjoy real life. >.> yes I has a real life...feels weird saying that.......
