Retrieving Exodia

(Second-person P.O.V)

Mai got closer and you frantically held her arm. "Where are you going?!" You whispered. "To meet them. We have to get to know our competition, no?" She smiled but stopped as she heard what Yugi and Joey were saying. "I'm glad that you're on board with me." Yugi whispered. "Only because you sacrificed one of your star chips for me. But if any of the other players find out we only have one star chip each, they could really..." Joey responded.

"They each only have one star chip? Ha!" You smiled, once you beat Yugi, you could leave the island in no time...and make your father proud. Mai walked over and you followed behind her. "Hey! I'm Mai Valentine, and this is my friend," You finished her sentence by stepping in front of Mai, "Y/N Shin. It's a pleasure to meet the person who defeated Kaiba. It's so sad you only have one star chip." You smirked, flipping your H/C hair. "How did you...?" Yugi asked. "Don't worry, it'll be our little secret." You replied. "I'm Yugi Muto, thanks." He replied. "And I'm Joey Wheeler-" "Nobody cares about you, sidekick." Mai smirked, interrupting him. Joey looked offended. "Nice to meet you, Wheeler." You smiled, shaking his hand, but his attention seemed to be deprived for Mai. Ugh, men. You rolled your eyes.

"See you at Duelist Kingdom, Yugi, and Yami..." You said, looking at the Millennium Puzzle and winking, turning away from the three and leaving to the lobby. Mai stayed talking to Joey and Yugi for a while until she turned to find you. "'Scuse me, officer, but where will we be staying?" You asked a guard. "Here, isn't that obvious?" The guard replied. You scoffed. "No, sir, it wasn't." You counted down in your mind. 3, 2, 1... "WHAT DO YOU MEAN, 'WE'RE SLEEPING HERE'?!" Mai screamed from behind you.

"That's just how it is, kid. Private rooms are for the tournament champions only." The guard answered. "I'm no kid! I'm a Lady! We deserve better than this!" Mai responded. "Hey, hey, calm down, or else they'll kick you out." A guy, behind you, said. You turned around. "Rex Raptor, right?" You asked. The dude was uglier in real life. "Yep, the tournament's runner-up." He smirked, leaning against the door frame. You smiled at Mai and she at you. You were both thinking the same thing. "Well, I'm Y/N Shin, and this is Mai Valentine. You wouldn't mind...showing us your room?" You asked, Rex blushed "Sure, no problem." You and Mai slowly followed behind, tightening your hands on your deck.

"Wow! This is a big room! You must be soooo important to be able to have such a big room!" Mai smirked, you two both entering. Rex sat down on his couch. You slowly moved towards him and crouched in front of him. He blushed. "You wouldn't mind... Well...Can we duel you? I know we don't stand a chance but...If you win, we'll both kiss you." Rex shifted on the couch. "Sure thing. But what's in it for you?" He asked. He must be on to us. You're not so dum, huh.

"If we win, you have to give us your room." Mai said, sitting down on the other couch and you followed to sit next to her. Mai placed her deck and you placed yours. "Which one do you want to fight? Me and my deck, or Mai and her deck?" You asked. "Can't I get a preview?" He asked, leaning forwards on the table. Mai looked at you. "Why don't you take care of this?" She asked. You nodded. "I will be your opponent. We'll use my deck." You replied to Rex. Rex stretched his arm to grab his five cards. "The first card is Pharaoh's servant." You smirked, he gasped. "How do you know?!" He exclaimed. "The second card is Celtic Guardian, then Dunames Dark Witch." You were guessing them all. "Oh-oh...I'm in trouble..."

You threw Rex out of the room, and he fell out of the door and onto the floor. "Hah! That's why you shouldn't battle us, OUT!" You yelled; he ran away. You high-fived Mai and then you both stayed inside. After some time, you became hungry and bored. 

Mai went to get some food while you explored more of the ship. Suddenly, you saw Yugi and Joey talking to Weevil Underwood. That insect... what does he want now? You thought, getting closer. "I heard you beat Kaiba, and that you have the legendary card, Exodia. May I see it?" Yugi took his deck in his hand. "Sure, I see no harm done." He replied, giving all five card pieces of this 'Exodia'. Weevil smirked and grabbed them all. Oh no, Weevil's going to throw them overboard! You ran towards Weevil, who was already half-way there to throw them, Yugi ran behind. "Now you won't have the power to defeat me! Hahaha!" He laughed, throwing them into the water. "No! My Exodia cards!" Yugi yelled. Joey rapidly ran and said, "Don't worry, Yuge, I'll get them!" You couldn't believe your eyes. THAT WEEVIL! I'LL KILL HIM! You thought as you saw Joey swim in the water to get the Exodia cards. You walked towards Underwood and called him. "Hey, you pest!" Weevil turned around and scrunched up his nose so that his glasses wouldn't fall.

"Who are you?" He asked, stepping back as you got closer. You felt your Millennium Key float from your chest and this huge surge of power energize you. Weevil almost jumped. "I'm your worst nightmare! Nobody messes with my rival!" You yelled, raising your hand strongly, as if carrying something heavy. Weevil's small body was lifted in the air. "What are you doing!? How are you- Let go!" The blue-haired screamed. "If you say so, insect." Your eyes glowed yellow and you held Weevil overboard with the magic your key had lent you. "Hey, Y/N, I got the foo- Woah!" Mai yelled from behind me. She saw Underwood floating in the air and the only thing holding him was the air and the magic your Key had produced. "Help me!" He yelled. "Y/N! Let him go!" Mai screeched, but something caught your eye. The Exodia cards were floating in the ocean under Weevil. "Be a dear and get those for me, would you?" You asked, letting go of the pressure in your hand and making Weevil fall dozens of feet below into the water. You used the magic of the Key to retrieve the Exodia cards and now you had them in your hand.

Mai was shocked behind you. "How did you do that? Was that the key? First you could scare a bunch of bullies off, then you could become invisible, and now you can levitate things?" Your eyes stopped glowing. "Calm down, my friend, Weevil just did something he shouldn't have done and...he deserved what happened next. Anyways-" You looked into your hand. You had three Exodia cards in them. The left leg, The left arm, and the head and torso of the Exodia card. "Joey must have gotten the rest. I must give these cards to Yugi." Mai stopped you. "Give Yugi the cards he used to defeat someone as powerful as Kaiba? No, keep them. Then you can use them against him." Mai smirked. There was someone watching you. You felt it.

You turned around and saw a boy all alone at the other end of the ship. He had light-purple hair, brown eyes, and a sweater. You looked at his chest. There's something he's hiding. Millennium key, show me... The Key glowed in response and your eyes glowed a slight yellow once again.

Then you saw it.

That boy...he has the Millennium Ring!
