You were currently in a hurry.
"The train will leave in two minutes. If I'm lucky, I will catch it." You thought and ran down the street.
Some people gave you weird looks, as you ran past them. The streets were busy on this Monday morning and if you didn't overslept, you would already be sitting on the train to work. You started to run faster and turned around a corner. Luck was not on your side today and you bumped into someone hard. You and the other person fell to the ground due to the impact and a coffee got spilled during the process.
"I'm so sorry." The person apologized.
"It's okay. I didn't see you." You replied and stood up.
The other person stood up as well, while you brushed the dirt off your clothes.
"Believe it or not, I didn't see you either." The other person chuckled.
You wondered why they were in such a good mood. If somebody would've bumped into you and spilled your morning coffee, you would've been mad as fuck, but this person was not. After you looked at their face you realized why.
"Oh my god, she is blind." You thought and suddenly her words made sense.
Sunglasses covered her eyes, although it was a cloudy day. She didn't look directly at you, just in your direction.
"Sorry, I didn't know that you are blind." You managed to say.
"No worries." She replied.
You looked at her and noticed that she was pretty. Her beauty made you forget about work and you lost yourself, while you were staring at her. Both of you stood there without saying a word.
"Uhm, are you still there?" She suddenly asked and snapped you out of your thoughts.
"Y-yes."You stuttered.
"Can you hand me my white cane?" She asked kindly.
"Sure." You replied and started to look out for the said object.
It had rolled a little away from you two. You crouched down and grabbed it.
"Here." You said and handed the object to her.
"I can't see where it is." She chuckled.
"S-sorry. I'm just a dumbass." You cursed at yourself for being that stupid.
In the short time that had passed, you already forgot that she was blind.
"I don't think you are a dumbass. Usually, people don't apologize when they bump into me, but you are different." The blind girl explained.
You were glad she couldn't see your bush.
"People are just rude these days." You replied and grabbed her hand gently.
You laid the cane in her hand and pulled back.
"I'm sorry about your coffee. If I wasn't in a hurry, I would buy you another one, but I really need to go to work." You stated.
"Why don't you meet me at the diner down the road when your shift is over." The girl replied and pointed in said direction.
"You mean "My's diner"?" You asked.
"Yes, I will be there." She replied.
"I guess I see you later." You smiled and said goodbye to her.
Later:
The day was not so good for you. Your boss had yelled at you for coming in late and then he flooded you with work. The stress was overwhelming, but you did the best you could. You had skipped lunch and didn't even have time to go to the toilet for once the whole day.
