Y/n's pov:
It drove you crazy. All of your life you have been a healthy person and all of the sudden everything changed. Your life was ruined. Never had you felt this frustrated and angry. The wounds still hurt and it made you go insane.
"I can't live with this condition." You said as you angrily walked through the forest.
It was disgusting how everyone wanted to show you empathy but before the incident, they wouldn't even look at you. Tears of anger would roll down your face if the fabric wrapped around your head wouldn't stop them. Two weeks had passed. Two weeks since you were only seeing darkness.
"I was stupid and now I have to live like this until I die." You thought and stumbled over a branch for the tenth time.
It was hopeless and so were you as you tried to find a tree to lean on. You ran away from home but you got lost in the middle of the forest and for the last hour, you had tried to find your way home. Two weeks ago this wouldn't have been a problem but since you were not able to see anymore it was impossible.
"Why did I agree to do this and why was it me that got blinded?" You asked the gods but as always they replied nothing.
You slid down the tree and started to cry. Instinctively you hugged your knees as the sobs got stronger.
"Damn my friends and damn all the village people. They can all screw themselves." You thought as you suddenly heard a lovely tune.
Someone was singing. You lifted your head to hear it more clearly. The voice was sweet like honey.
"Who might that be?" You asked yourself and stood up.
The voice was not far away so you decided to follow it. Maybe this stranger could help you find a way home. With every step you took the singing got louder. You didn't understand the language but it was a lovely song. The voice must've guided you to a small river. You could hear the water running. The singing was close. It seemed that the stranger was not far away from you.
"I could listen to this for hours." You thought and stopped walking.
From what you could hear the person must be a woman. The singing abruptly stopped. It seemed that the person moved. Maybe they turned towards you. You could feel the tension.
"Are they scared of me?" You asked yourself as you heard a hiss.
You heard that kind of sound before. It reminded you of a snake.
"Did they send you to kill me?" The stranger asked.
"What?" You were confused.
Stranger's pov:
"I asked you if you are here to kill me?" She asked again while she observed the young woman in front of her.
She couldn't be older than seventeen. Around her head was a blindfold that covered both of her eyes but there was no weapon in her hand. Siyeon knew damn well that the woman could have hidden a blade somewhere in her clothes.
"I'm not a bandit if that is what you mean." The woman replied.
She raised her hands to show that she was not holding anything. That was the moment Siyeon noticed the tiny wounds on the other woman's face. Small cuts covered the skin around her eyes and a few even reached down to her neck.
"Why are your eyes covered then?" Siyeon asked and made a step back.
The blindfolded woman could be a sorceress and spam one of her spells at any given moment.
"My eyes?" The woman was divinely confused.
"Don't play dumb," Siyeon replied.
There was only one reason people came into this part of the forest with a blindfold around their heads. They all wanted to kill the infamous Gorgon named Siyeon but of course, all of them failed and Siyeon's gaze turned them into stone.
