The past

This chapter is about Virgil's past so they narrator will be calling Virgil, Virgil but characters in the story will be calling him Veronica.

T w: implication of child neglect and abuse, feeling of abandonment. If there's any trigger warnings I missed let me know.

           "Where's Mommy and daddy, who are these weird people, why did they say there taking me to papas and Grammys," A young Virgil thought "did they take me because the yelling? I was ok with it I got used to it, why are they taking me now? Did mommy and daddy not want me? They didn't did they, that's why the strange people are taking me now." He thought come up with a reason he was taken from his home, his family and being placed with his grandparents. Being placed with new people and new family.

Once they arrive and what would be Virgil's new home. They took him into a separate room letting him play while they talked about the situation.

"Mr. Storm, Mrs. Storm were sorry to drop in with Veronica such short notice but we thought it would be best to ask you if you would be willing to take her in. Her parents were arrested and with the way it looks like she was treated they'll lose custody. You two can either take her in or she'll be put in foster care. It's up to you to decide." Said the officer. The talk went on the disgust what the legal aspect of things will probably look like and what standers would need to up holded. They came to the conclusions if the government will allow it they will take full custody of the child Virgil at the time Veronica.

"Ok Virgil you got this, you got this just breathe starting a new school isn't that big of a deal you've done it 2 times now just make sure you stay unnoticed." Virgil tries comforting himself. As he enters the classroom with the teacher she instructs him to sit in the only open set next to 3 other boys.

The one he noticed first has curly blonde hair with, light blue eye being framed by round wire glasses and freckles dotting his face. He seems excited at the  arrival of a new person. "I'm Patton nice to meet you!" He greets exactly.

The next one to greet Virgil has dirty blonde that is slightly curled, the thing that jumped out was his eyelashes they were long and curled up perfectly, his eyes were hazel almost gold. "Greetings stranger I'm Roman a pleasure to meet you!" He announced.

The one to greet his last has pitch black straight hair, with dark brown eyes with black big square glass. Virgil noticed how he dresses more than anything. He was wearing a dark blue tie with a black button up."Salutations my name's Logan."

Virgil stood awkwardly realizing he had to introduce himself. He wonder if the teacher would listen to his request of calling him Virgil, if she would listen to what his pronouns were. He wondered if he told them what would happen if they found out. Once he came back to reality he realized they were all staring at him waiting for him to say his name. "My name is V-virgil." He said nervously.

"Nice to meet you Virgil! I can show you what we're doing and you can sit with us all at lunch and play with us at recess!" Patton said.

"Yeah! You can play Dragon and knight with us! I'm the prince and the best knight!" Roman chimed in.

"I'll show you what to do with the work those two don't know what there doing either. I'm also always will to help you with any work in the future." Logan said.

Virgil found these three interesting, thay were all being so nice to a boy that's barely talked to them. That they barely know but there excepting him in to their group already. They were already treating him as a friend.

Im sorry this took so long to come out with I completely lost motivation to write as school continued. But I finally finished the first part. I hope you enjoy this part and the story as it goes on!
