Lee Siyeon was scouted at a BTS concert with her friend in 2018 when she was only 15. She trained for roughly 3 years and continued to during the filming of I-LAND. She was revealed to be the secret member when the teasers for 'Given-Taken' came out and a female figure was shown in the red lights. The reason behind her being a secret member is still unknown but fans couldn't care less because after the teasers came out, fans went crazy about how they're going to be HYBE's first co-ed group and really, one of the bigger companies first co-ed group. Knetz were mad at the fact that the boys in I-LAND worked their asses off and Siyeon "got a free pass" because she was a female, the hate continues to this day but has died down. Fans adore her and her relationship with the boys, the biggest ship being Jiyeon (Jake and Siyeon) because of how fluffy they are together.
