"We should wait here until she comes back. I know she will, she has to. She promised." Thorn said trying to reassure them, and himself. "You all need names. How about Pine and, Daisy." They looked at each other and nodded. "Hello, Daisy." "Hello, Pine." They all laughed. "Hey Thorn, why do you have a green eye and a blue eye? I have blue eyes, Pine has Green eyes, and you have both." Daisy asked, looking into his eyes. Why did he have different colored eyes? Was it bad? Or was it normal? "I don't know." She thought for a moment then said "Well, whatever it means, we think it's cool!" She said trying to reassure their worrying brother. Even though it did not help, he gave a weak smile, to pretend it was nothing. "Thorn I'm hungry!" Pine said, rolling onto his back to expose his rumbling stomach. How are we supposed to eat? They are to young to eat meat. The black and white kit was holding his stomach. "Me too!" The gray kit began doing the same. They were not used to being hungry for so long, but since their mother wasn't here, they could not eat. Even if they could eat meat, they could not hunt. "Owwwww! My tummy hurts! Thorn!" Daisy began wailing. She was the youngest of the three, so she would need to eat soon. "I want mama back." Pine meowed. He began crying. "Don't worry, Pine," Thorn said, wrapping his tail around the crying kit. "She'll be here soon."
