"𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐀 𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓 rest of your night!" Maisie said with a smile as the final customer of the night exited the shop.
She inhaled deeply and began to wrap things up at the register, grabbing her book and meandering to the back room when she was finished. Theo had gone to tidy up books, so that left Maisie alone with her thoughts for a moment while she packed her bag up to head home.
She thought about how things would go with Technoblade, and how he would feel about the place she brought him to. How he would react to the way she felt about him, and how he would feel about her. She pondered the idea of changing up the plan completely and watching a movie with him instead, leaving her feelings out of the picture.
However, she knew she couldn't. She couldn't let her feelings stay untouched and ignored, because she knew that doing so would eat her up inside. And plus, what's the worst that could happen?
Maisie snapped out of her thoughts as Theo came up behind her.
"You okay?" he hummed, waving a hand in front of her face. "You zoned out for a sec."
"Hm? Oh yeah, I'm fine. Just a little nervous is all." she dismissed.
"Nervous? About what?"
"Just stuff with Techno," she sighed as she gnawed on her thumb nail. "I'm nervous about our date tonight."
"Care to elaborate? I'm a good listener, promise." he sat down in a chair, beckoning her to sit in the one next to him.
"Well it's just that I really really like him. Like, more than anyone I've ever liked before. And I was gonna tell him tonight, but now I just don't know."
