So I have this server with my friends that is basically just Obey Me but children.
Uhm- in my designs (which obviously other people have other designs but i'm talking about mine)
Some of the demon brothers have little signs of their demon forms, even though they aren't actually in them.
For example : the thumbnail of this " book " (which is again owned by me)
Belphie has little horns. They are stubs. The reason this is, is because some of them are still growing their demon forms, which, OBVIOUSLY, need to grow to reach full maturity. Even though Belphie technically isn't in his demon form, he has his demon horns out (which most actually can't control).
They also need to learn how to transform into their demon forms and how to transfer out of them. However, even if they can do that, they can still have small horns, tails, wings, etc.,
An example of that is my Levi design.

Levi has a tail and gills(?), and although he actually doesn't have gills in his original design, it's my excuse for him being able to breathe underwater (i'll cover that in the next headcannon).

Beel has wings, and he can't actually use them. This is because more of the fact they haven't grown big enough to support his weight.
