Angela's pov
----------------Walking into the kitchen the next morning, I see Dante standing in front of the stove, making breakfast while Nicole sits on the counter, watching him.
"Have I ever told you, that I love your cooking?" Nicole asks him and Dante smirks at her.
"No actually, you haven't." He replies.
"Then why do you keep doing it?" She asks innocently and his smirk falls almost instantly.
I let out a small laugh as Dante glares at her.
Nicole sees me and jumbs off the counter, ignoring Dante and coming towards me. She opens her arms for a hug.
I give her a smile and hug her back. "Good morning." She mumbles and I greet her back.
She pulls away from the hug and leads me to the kitchen island.
"How'd you sleep?"She asks.
I shurg, looking down at my fiddling fingers in lap. "I slept okay. You?"
She frowns and places her hands over mine. "What's wrong?"
I shake my head, not wanting to talk about how I barely got enough sleep last night. I was thinking about the conversation I had with Elijah the whole night. I know that he's mad at me, but it was a misunderstanding.I wasn't going to say that about him. But he stormed out before I could even explain myself.
I sighed before looking over at Nicole with a small smile, that didn't quite reach my eyes.
"I'm okay."
She looks unconvinced but nods nonetheless, dropping the topic. And I'm grateful that she didn't push me.
"Okay, but you can talk to me anytime you want. I'm a good listener and I'll even give you advise if you seek any, okay?" She says with a warm smile.
"Thank y-" I was cut of by the sound of an alarm going off.
Nicole and I, both glance towards Dante to see that the pan had caught fire and he was trying to put it out. My eyes widen as he took a dry cloth and threw it over the small fire.
He cussed as the fire got bigger. I quickly got of my seat and grabbed a bigger towel before wetting it. I then rushed to the stove and threw the cloth over the pan.
After a few minutes the fire was out and I sighed in relief. I looked over at Dante to see him breathing heavily while looking at me.
Nicole bursts out laughing, almost falling out of her chair as she continued. When she calmed down, she wiped away a stray tear before looking over at Dante.
"You're such a great cook Dante." She says sarcastically before getting up, "In fact, you're so good at it, that I'm left speechless."
I let out a small laugh before putting the pan in the sink and throwing away the burnt towels.
Dante glares at her again before sitting by the island. "Shut up." He says before running a hand through his hair.
Nicole grabs three bowls and some cereal, before placing it on the counter. I take the milk out of the fridge and place it on the counter.
After finishing breakfast, with Nicole and Dante's constant bickering, I left the the kitchen.
On my way upstairs, Gio stops me.
"Hey." He says and I smile up at him.
"Hi."
"Are you okay?" He asks with slight concern.
