Beep, beep, beep goes Lizzy's alarm clock at 4:30 in the morning. She reaches over and turns it off and groans. She rolls back over and pulls the covers over her head. then she feels a cold wet nose rub against her face, she shoves it away, " Okay, okay I'm awake Ella." Lizzy rolls out of bed and looks at her clock, " OMG! I'm going to be late for work!" turns toward Ella," this is one of the many, many reasons why I love you. you always make sure I get up when I'm supposed to." she rolls out of bed and opens the back door and lets Bella out. then she goes back to her room gets her clothes for work and hops into the shower. as soon as she gets finished in the bathroom she goes to the back door and lets Ella back inside. after letting Ella in she gives Ella her food and then opens the fridge. " Of course, I have no milk left, looks like I'll have to eat something at work." she grabs her car keys gets into her car and drives to work.

Fifteen minutes later she arrives at the prison where she works as a cook and clocks in right at 5:30. she walks into the kitchen and looks for something to eat. she finds a note on the counter with her name on it. she slowly walks over and picks up the paper and immediately knows who it's from. she opens it and reads it out loud, " Please meet me in my office as soon as you get this. Your Boss, Sheriff Loghan. " " oh, God I hope I'm not in trouble. I wonder what he wants or needs from me this early in the morning?" she walks out the kitchen door and down towards her boss's office, as she walks, she takes a couple of deep breaths. she gets to his door and gently knocks on his door. " Hey, boss you said you wanted to see me?"

" Yes, please come in and take a seat. I've been told by one of your co-workers that you have taking your break time to run a small group for the inmates that want to join." he said with a puzzled but curious look on his face.

She looks at her boss, " yes I have been holding classes at my lunch break with the inmates that want to join and for the inmates who want to try to make the best of their day. I have been getting around 15 guys a day at least sometimes more. I just thought if I did something that would give them tools so that when they get out, they can analyze their thoughts easier. but if you don't want me to do it anymore at least let me do todays class and then I'll just stick to what I was hired to do." she explains.

" Woah, slow down please. I never said I wanted you not to do what you are doing. I was going to see if you would like to do that as your actual job instead of working in the kitchen, but it's completely up to you. I just have never had such great and polite inmates until you came. you have changed the way the inmates see themselves and the officers. But either way I'm gonna give you a raise, cause me and your co-workers appreciate what you do, especially Jason." Loghan replies.
