a parisian love;
how did she end up here?
was it the romance?
was it the city?
was it the spark?"mon chère?" the man in her apartment says as he asks for her from where she was sitting
she looked away from the city below, the Eiffel ahead
clair de lune plays from the apartment window next door
she's tempted to ignore her "lovers" sweet calls for her and to duet the neighbor
she caught a glimpse of him one day, in september
a blissful evening
that day, she leaned over the balcony to see him moving his fingers on the piano to nocturne
he caught her eye
and smiled so gently, her heart fluttered
he opened his mouth, as if to say something
she looked back at him, waiting, anticipating
but he went back to his music
she saw him continue to smile
she yearned to meet him,
to sit next to him,
while he played soft pieces of music from centuries ago
the man in her home that claimed to be her lover was far from that name
lover? he never gave her love, much rather even listened to what she wanted to say
she couldn't relate to him, she couldn't talk to him, did she even find a sliver of love for him?
but the one next door, only a few meters away
oh how he came into her dreams like a blessing
how his little glimpses of her made her feel like floating
how she knew, that if true, he would love her better than anyone ever could
how she sat next to the window every evening with a glass of rosè
just to listen to him play, while looking at the sky and the tower and the les amoureux below
she decided to pretend she never heard the presence in her home say "chère"
she decided the next time her neighbor played a song, she'd play too, even from a distance
she decided she'd refer to him as bien-aimè
she decided to be endeared towards her beloved , even if he'd never see her that way
she decided that she'd still love him, even if one day, he left her
the french breeze softly kissed her cheek
he swirled in her rêveries, as clair de lune was coming to an end▸ 🎕 ┈┈┈┈ 🎕 ┈┈┈┈ 🎕 ◂

Thơ casalut, d'amour these are little short stories that i've begun to write in a sort of poetic, sad, yet romantic way. who knows why but every time i make something new, i'll add it here , i don't expect anyone to read it. there's nothing specific about...
