Chapter 6 - Professor X

(3rd Person POV)
As soon as the adults conversation ended one of them took Gon to the guy they called Professor X.

"I'm so excited, maybe he will be my new friend". Gon mumbled to himself along the way.

Soon we enter a door on the other side of the building. Inside the door was dark, old wooden stairs leading up.

"Professor X is expecting you." Is all the masked white coat lady said after she opened the door.

"Ok", Gon smiled and headed up the creaking stairs.

After the white coat lady shut the door the entire room became dark as night. Paying this no mind Gon simply continued to climb the stairs while humming.

At the top of the stairs their was a room made completely out of worn down wood and white tables and shelves covered the walls. There was a small mattress under one of the tables and a rocking chair in the corner. The lights were dim but you could still make out a figure in the shadows.

"Who's there?" The voice of an old man spoke.

After Gons eyes adjusted, he could see that he wore a dark green robe and blue slippers. His hair looked like it had been electrocuted recently and he had glasses that were cracked in one lens on.

Gon walked up to the old man and put my hand out for a handshake, and with a smile said, "Hi my name is G3-5, it's nice to meet you Mr. Professor X."

This made Professor X raise his brow. Then he smiled back at Gon. "Nice to meet you as well." This response made Gon smile even more.

"Yes I think you will do just fine". The man said while staring at Gon.

"What are we doing Mr. Professor", Gon excitedly asked.

"Well G3-5, I have a certain task that only you can handle." Professor X began.

"Ohh really!?", Gons eyes lit up at the idea of helping. "What do you want me to do?"

"Follow me", is all Professor X said before going into another door next to the stairs Gon originally came in from.

Through the door is a long, dark hallway. Gon and the strange Professor X simply walked in ere silence. The younger of the two is completely unaware of the situation though, and is simply skipping down the hallway in excitement.

Eventuality, the hallway stops, in front of the two was a simple black wall.

"What now Professor X?" Gon said confused at why there would be a wall at the end of a hallway.

"Let's go", is all Professor X said. Which confused Gon even more.

Gon's question didn't need to be asked though. Professor X stepped forward and pushed open the wall. Opening up to reveal an abandoned storeroom on the other side.

The storeroom has old, rusted walls and a door on the other side of the room. Standing in the center of the room was a young couple and their child.

The woman has black hair and red eyes. She was holding the sleeping, black haired child that seemed to be around Gon's age. The man has dark brown hair and sharp green eyes. But the thing about the man that stood out the most was his sharp, pointy teeth. Something that he and the child shared.

"Hi my name is G3-5 it's nice to meet you", Gon said smiling at the parents and the sleeping child.

The couple looked down on him with pity.

"Is this the child that will save our Eiji?" The mother asked Professor X. Ignoring Gon entirely.

"Yes ma'am", Professor X replied. "With the use of my quirk, your child will be saved."

"Are you sure?" The father asked. "Everyone says that their is no hope left for him. Are you absolutely certain that your quirk can save our son."

"Sir my quirk is called Sprit Sacrifice. It can take the natural health and strength of a child and put that into a different, sickly child. Then everything that makes the second child sickly and weak in the first place, is given to the first one in exchange." Professor X explained.

"So there aren't any side effects or anything like that right?" The father continued.

"Not for the one who is receiving the strength." Professor X responded.

The couple then looked at Gon once again in pity, then they look at each other and nod.

"Ok", the mother said to Professor X.

"If it will save him, then I'll do it." The father confirmed.

Professor X smiled then grabbed Gon by the wrist, dragging him closer to the couple and their son.

The second Professor X's hand touched the child's, they both began to glow.

(Gon's POV)
I was being dragged by Professor X towards the couple and their child. What was that conversation about? I couldn't keep up with it, but it sounded important.

Before I could ask Professor X what was going on, he touched the kid in the mother's arms. Then everything went black.
